Boomer grandmother here, retired. Question: is there anyone on this board older than me? Back when I was watching Hogan's Heroes, the admin hadn't even been born yet. "I know nothing"... which sums up my Discord skills — I can't even figure out how to pick my American Flag. Anyway, my story: I began Mounjaro 3 + years ago with a Lilly coupon, aiming to drop 30 pounds, which my excellent doctor recommended. First burp and I was hooked. Cost made me quit. Then Fall ‘25 I restarted, using compounded from a WL clinic. Quit once more over cost, even though it was cheaper than the brand-name Mounjaro. In Jan 2026 I met an energetic personal trainer. My reaction: "wait, there's more out there besides Tirzepatide and Semaglutide???". Wow! Since then I've done a crash course on every pep. Retirement gives me the time to study. I ratted my way thru: Sema,Tirz, Reta, Cag, Tesa, DSIP, Epitalon, Cerebrolysin, NAD+, Glutathione, SS31, Mots-C, GLOW, KLOW Selank and Semax. I'm here to learn because I've seen that quality varies by source. Once in a while I'll share advice, for instance: don't double up on receptor hits, like Tirz and Reta together. Micro dosing is my favorite. Thanks for putting up with me.

Hello and welcome! I'm a senior too, and it's great to find other women around my age who are focused on getting healthier. Our grandchildren need us to be both happy and well 😉

Hi

I'm wondering — did you actually inject every one of those items you mentioned, or was it purely from reading up on them?

Correction: I took Semax and Selank through the nose
How did Semax work for you? I'm researching it for brain fog, and I'd love to hear what others have gone through with it. 🙂

Semax didn't do anything for me. Tesamorelon, on the other hand, did. Out of nowhere, I found my thinking was clearer—especially when it came to recalling words. That got me digging into Tesa, and I came across this: “Clinical studies suggest that tesamorelin, a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog, may modestly improve verbal memory and verbal recall”

Unexpected improvements are the ones I trust most, since placebo can’t be responsible for something I wasn’t looking for. Tesa caught me off guard with what it did, and BPC157 did the same for how I bounced back after workouts. I had started BPC as part of a GLOW stack aimed at my skin, with no idea it might help recovery, yet I picked up on that effect only later. Once I looked into it, I was sold.

I've come across reports that Semax gives inconsistent outcomes, so for me it doesn't seem worth the hassle of ordering a kit and putting it through testing just to run that experiment. Tesamorelon also catches my attention, but since my blood pressure runs a little high naturally, I'm steering clear of anything that might make controlling it harder. From what I've always understood, GH — or any substance that pushes the body to make more of it — can work against blood pressure management in people who already have trouble with it. I'll need to look into this one further!
