female, 30 years old right now

my starting weight, which is also the heaviest I've ever been, was 256lbs

between 2021 and 2022 I lost 30 lbs by changing what I ate and exercising

in May 2022, before all the buzz, I began Oz

by Nov 2023 I had reached 163lbs

then it quit working — the effects felt weaker, or something shifted

after that the pounds crept back on little by little

I kept bouncing on and off Ozempic, mostly sticking to a maintenance dose, and I never stopped training or lifting weights

in 2025 I switched brands to Wegovy, yet somehow over the past two years I've climbed all the way back to 200lbs

I exercise nearly every day, I've finished a Hyrox cycle, I jog — but I can't get back below 195lbs

not long ago I began Trizep in order to try a different type of GLP1, since Ozempic gave me no benefits and Wegovy left me extremely fatigued.

my insurance, though, won't pay for it and the price is very high (Vancouver Canada)

I stumbled on “reta” online recently — I'd never heard of it before. I'm here to find out more, read about what others have gone through, and look for any way to lose the 40lbs I put back on. Getting down to 160 is what I'm aiming for.

Hello and welcome! Based on what I know, when Reta is paired with a lowered appetite, it boosts your metabolism and ramps up energy burning. To date, it has shown itself to be the strongest GLP for dropping weight. Still, at the end of the day, I believe the main thing comes down to a calorie deficit, and every GLP does that job well. Keep track of your calories and confirm you're eating below your maintenance level

Glad you're here on the forum. Your diet isn't something you brought up. GLP's do help, yet they're just one piece of the puzzle. Working out is beneficial, but a bad diet won't be fixed by it. If calorie tracking isn't something you're doing yet, I'd strongly recommend it, along with paying attention to what kind of food you're eating. Figure out your TDEE, avoid bumping it up much because of exercise, and stay under that number. For me, when I log my calories properly, the weight comes off steadily. Nice work on what you've achieved so far, and keep going while you keep tweaking things.

Because of the gym, I get a lot of protein — chicken, steak, eggs, and shakes. My eating is okay; I stay under my calories, but I often go for dense foods such as crisps, chips, or fries to fill the gaps.

Is there anyone who knows how reta compares with glp1/trizp/ozempic?

I am thinking about switching to reta.
