Hello everyone,

I've been using peptides for a while and am now looking into GLP's. At 50 something, I stay active and have turned to healing peptides for injuries and surgery, working with my primary doctor on particular protocols. I'm eager to pick up more from this forum about additional peptides and to see the results that come with taking even greater charge of my own health and wellness through peptides.

I've just begun Reta, injecting .5mg two times per week, and following the third pin I went through a "hangover" that lasted 3 days. Headache, nausea, brain fog, plus restless sleep. I did skip one dose and started again yesterday, and so far there have been no sides. Based on your experiences, should side effects be anticipated as the dosage goes up, or is it simply the initial introduction of a GLP since this is my first? I have used healing peptides like BPC157, TB500, GHK-cu, and DISP for sleep. Any feedback about your experiences would be appreciated.

Hello, and welcome! 😊

Other threads are open to you — start by spending a little time getting familiar with the “Public square,” then, patiently, work your way through the remaining parts of the forum.

About reta, I’m not able to offer anything, since Tirz is what I take, and only lately have I begun adding reta as a micro‑dose.

Your question likely won’t be noticed by people here, and even if it were, they couldn’t give you an answer, because this section isn’t really the appropriate place for it.

Nope, it's not limited to just your own introduction thread. Feel free to comment on anyone's intro posts.

As for the side effects you brought up, another option is to switch where you inject. I recall a study looking at injection locations and how often sides occurred, and it found that the highest rate of sides was among those injecting into the abdomen (the usual spot, yeah, yeah), followed by upper arm injections, while the group injecting into thighs had the fewest sides.

From my own experience, I began with RT via injections and had essentially no sides at all, aside from a single one: a slight increase in RHR.

Appreciate the reply. I'll be sure to give the thighs a go for my upcoming injections.

No worries, buddy 🙂

Welcome! Did you run BPC-157, TM-500 and CHK-cu together as a glow stack, or separately? I'm about to begin a glow stack myself — any advice? Thanks!

Thank you. I took them one at a time. My morning routine includes BPC-157, TB500 & GHK-cu, and then I take a second BPC-157 dose right before going to sleep. Based on your username, I should mention that I am also not young. 58, and for some reason my strength increases while on this stack. There has been some "noise" and hype around it, but I can honestly leg press 100lbs more during this regiment. At first I did not connect the gains to this stack, but after running this combo several times, the weight simply moves easier. I have not come across any medical publications studying this, but it is the only variable in and out of my routine so far that I can link to the gains and drops when on and off the stack. Whether it is 1 peptide, 2, or all 3 helping, I cannot say, but the strength is always higher after 3-4 weeks into a 12 week program.

I've been on Reta. Just remember that Reta sets itself apart from the rest of the GLP1 family because it includes GIP along with glucagon. Before I ever took it, I put months into studying Reta, and the usual advice against pinning 2 times per week comes down to its 6 day half life — doing so effectively over-saturates, which can ramp up side effects and push your body toward resistance sooner. My RS began at .5 mg, then moved to 1 mg. Yes, Reta brings more food noise since its GLP 1 component is lower than what you get with semi and triz, but it still does the job of burning fat. Based on the studies, my suggestion is to hold at a dose for 4 weeks of saturation before titrating up, and only if you plateau. That gives your body time to adjust and keeps side effects down. Hope this helps.

What stops me from giving Reta a try is the stronger food noise and urge to eat, despite how tempting the extra fat burning sounds.

Having my appetite cranked up would, I think, be too hard on me mentally. I have no wish to return to fighting those "eat NOW" impulses. For me, the best part of being on GLPs has been escaping that struggle.
