Hey everyone! I've been lurking around the forum for a while and finally decided to make an account.

A little about me... 37-year-old male who lost a little over 100 pounds naturally, going from 280 lbs down to 175 lbs through diet, exercise, and consistency. I'm proud of what I've accomplished, and my routine blood work has always come back normal. Like a lot of people, though, I've reached the point where those last stubborn areas are much harder to lean out.

I've been researching reta for quite a while now and have spent a lot of time reading through posts here to build a solid game plan before I ever start. My goal is to do a 12+ week run, but I want to make sure I understand proper dosing, titration, side effects, and overall safety before jumping in.

I'm definitely still a newbie when it comes to peptides, so I'd really appreciate any advice from those with experience. If there are any common mistakes first timers make, things you wish you knew before starting, or recommendations on dosing schedules, blood work to monitor, supplements that may help, or what to realistically expect, I'm all ears.

I've learned a lot just from reading everyone's experiences, and I'm looking forward to learning even more. Thanks in advance for helping a newcomer out!

You will lose some more weight thanks to Reta. But not only specific from your visceral or belly fat. If you want to eliminate your belly fat consider taking a GHRH stack like Ipa+Cjc-1295 or ipa+tesa together with Reta or Tirz. Training is a must. You will get hungry because of GHRH stack. But it is not such difficult to ignore it. After a few days you will get used to it. I inject ipa+Cjc-1295 No dac at 05:AM and fasting until 12:00PM daily. Only it has helped eliminating belly fat through all my journey. I have some more. But not more than 1 kg. SW:102kg CW:73,5kg.

Hello ! Congratulations on your weight loss ! Just like you I’m trying to learn more about dosing and also restitution if I’m honest ! I’ve done a lot of research too and I’m sure this forum has everything we need and more ! Goodluck to us !

I am a fellow lurker but I have been around grey for a minute now! Welcome, fellow lurker! 🙂

A little more about ME, I am also 37. 5'11". Average build, now anyway. I'll long story short ya. At 21 I weight 260lbs. I grew up always overweight. Genetics and my family's cooking. Well, my metabolism decided to exist at some point, or I thought so, I had lost 20lbs out of no where. Still living the same days eating the same things. Well, even though I didnt know what happened, I took advantage of it. Became a pretty disgusting runner through my 20's. Lost too much weight. Went down to 145lbs. Fixed that and hovered around 165/170, healthy weight and comp for quite some time. Fast forward a few years, a few kids, less exercise, unhealthy habits, at this point I was just trying to help my kids survive the days and hoped to survive them myself. Well, a few more years later, a couple changes in circumstance, some poor choices, early last year I had managed to drink and over eat myself to an unhealthy lifestyle and a weight of 220lbs. Coming from being heavy as a child, my battle with my weight through my 20's, stepping on that scale just hit the most sensitve part of me. Told myself "Uh Uh" it is not happening. I worked way too hard through my 20's and my kids are still so young, I dont have a choice in the matter, I need to change things NOW, so I can be in the best shape possible for THEM. Not to mention all the family members I am to survive. Not to mention the strength it takes to endure losing them. Again. No choice in the matter. I didnt have a choice. THIS needs to happen.

Well, my recent dilema mixed with the slight envy, as well as curiousity of my ma being on compounded tirz. I fell down a very very very deep hole. Started out basic research. Ensuring what my ma was taking was helping her and not hurting her in any way. Then I wondered how I could get my hands on some. Maybe I could try it. Another long story short. I had......grossly overpaid for some compounded tirz for a few months there. Without knowing. Don't regret it though. Although the first dose of tirz at 2.25mg had me feeling like I was about to croak over? The rest was a miracle. Day 1, I didnt want to eat. In fact I was repulsed by food. Later on this doesnt exactly stay a good thing. I didn't have any side effects outside that initial pin. Just no hunger and the weight just DROPPED! I was shocked. Amazed. Instantly.......dependent. Well, I couldn't exactly afford the cost at the time, neither did I really the next month or two. I stayed on compounded almost 3 months until I found other means.

Falling deeper into the grey rabbit hole here.........I was on tirz and looking for other means. Not only did I find that I had found other things. One of those things. Reta. Of course. The next big thing. Well, now I was even more curious. If tirz is this effective I wonder what this stuff can do? I should have quit while I was ahead but......I couldnt. I am now a researcher. Researchers, do research. I wanna do some research on this stuff, too! AND.......it was cheaper. WINNING.

So, I transitioned from compounded tirz to grey reta. Although tirz was a much more.......pleasurable expereince, I dont regret the trasnition. Even if I had no actual reason to transition outside of trying something new. I think I would have had very similar results if I would have stuck with tirz versus trasitioning to reta.

Grey reta came with grey things. Which is where my advice would actually start for you. I would start by simply getting accustomed to the supplies you need for recon, filtering, pinning, etc. Stock up on those so you dont have to worry about it later. All these supplies are cheap and more than affordable with what you save versus using pharma.

Find your means to acquire your peptide. Everyone walks their own path, everyone has their own experiences, everyone gets things from different places. Find what is best for YOU and roll with it.

Reta. If you havent taken reta or anyting glp related before? I would start off by doing some research into the clinical data and clinical dose protocol. This will give you a good starting point for dose and basic titration schedule to follow. Reta is recommended, starting dose at 2mg. This works for most. Not everyone. I would start off low and slow. Start at the recommended 2mg. If side effects are extreme? Then cut it back by .5mg-1mg for those first 4 weeks. Let the medication come to a ready state, then maybe try the 2mg again at the 5 week mark. Another scenario, Start at 2mg, if you dont experience any side effects but are noticing benefits and losing weight? Then you're good. Stay at the 2mg for the 4 weeks, at minimum. Now, you can follow the clinical dose protocol, titrate up to 4mg accordingly. Or you can really squeeze out every last drop of beneift and weight loss out of these medications that you can. It doesnt sound like you need to LOSE much weight, but more or less get into BETTER shape. What you may want to do is stay at the LOWEST effective dose you can before taking higher doses or titrating up. Personally, from August 2025 to March 2026? I was actively losing weight and seeing strong benefits, so, I never titrated up or down with my dose. I pinned 4mg weekly from August 2025 to at least March of this year. Didn't need to titrate up to 6mg, I tried but the side effects weren't something I was willing to deal with. Not brutal. Not saying weight loss HAS to be a pleasurable experience but I didnt NEED to deal with them and I was still losing weight. Of course, you do what works best for you and your goals.

Lifestyle and nutirition is key. Just as important as the medication and dose protocol. It sounds like you already make good choices. Whether that be nutrition or exercise? I am not sure. You're losing weight so you're doing something right. Keep doing that. Eat healthy, get sleep, drink water, get your steps in AND ALSO, resistance training. You NEED........to push/pull around some weights or get into the gym. Even just twice week will make an IMMENSE difference when it comes to progress and preventing muscle loss and even BUILDING muscle while you are losing the weight. Please, don't just pin to win and just stop the drive throughs. ADD IN TRAINING! Hell, download an app, follow the same boring workout routine for 8-12 weeks and youll thank me later.

So, get accustomed and stocked up on supplies youll need alongside the medication. If you havent, do a little reading into the clinical studies and dose protocol. Find your means to acquire the medication. Take the Reta. Low and slow. If its working? Don't mess with it. Don't force it. Eat healthy. Drink Water. Don't be afraid to eat, youll need the fuel anyway. Download an app. Get into the gym. Thank me sooner rather than later.

What I WOULDN'T recommend is something like a stack or GHRH stack. Especially if you're lurking, newer to grey or havent even used peptides before. I would simply focus on implementing a healthy lifestyle with the a GLP 1 first. Fine tuning that protocol. Maybe THEN getting some bloodwork done for a good baseline. If something is lacking or not on par with health or goals? THEN maybe look into creating a stack, adding a peptide or other substance. Ain't no race to the finish line here. Monitor and adjust as needed. Dont just pin and pray it addresses a concern.

Happy Pepping!

Pinning daily 350mcg at 05:00AM when I wake up and fasting until 12:00PM during 5 days/week and cycle 12 weeks on, 4 weeks off. At the beginning, I was splitting it in two as 200mcg when I wake up 200mcg before I sleep. But after a time started pinning once a day and fasting which has changed the game completely. A few hours after pinning getting hungry. But just ignoring that. I know that growth hormone is being released and needs energy. Then it takes its energy from fat tissue; because I don't give any other choice. It will do its job also if you eat and your muscles will be preserved and growing together with training. But then you won't be able to lose fat in a short time. Also don't expect a growth like HGH or TRT does. This one is more natural. I am at the end of first cycle and nothing else than benefits without any side affects so far. 2 weeks ago let my blood test and everyting was OK except vitamine D. I am at 2mg/week Tirz maintenance dose since 5 weeks ago and has been pinning it once a day with fasting during last 4 weeks. Lost every week 1 kg during 4 weeks at maintenance dose.

By the way, I told my doctor that I was using the stack to prevent muscle loss during my visit for blood test. At the beginning of the speech, she was a little bit sceptic. But she said that the result was amazing in comparison with other Mounjaro users. You know what you are doing. Just be carefull with the dosage and keep it on its purpose, she said.

Have been using Mounjaro during 7 months with prescription and did not tell her that I was using Tirz now. Still getting prescriptions and buying Mounjaro, just to be in order in every aspect. But don't use them. I am sure she won't like it, because of financial benefits she gets from it.
