My home base is split between Orlando and NYC these days. Aviation is my industry, which means a lot of bouncing around, though NYC takes most of my time now.. still saying a prayer for the day South Florida becomes home again. My age is 47 and the scale has been going up and down for many years. Keeping the gain in check once meant a zero carb, all protein diet, and every day of it was miserable for me. Other routes got tried as well, and honestly phentermine outperformed everything else, but the jittery feeling it brought was something i hated. Well, 3 yrs back a bunch of people around me were shedding pounds on Ozempic, coverage was out of reach for me, so a GLP1 company here in NYC got my business. The 15 lbs came off, but billing was done per vial, so every dose increase simply meant another vial to buy, on top of hefty monthly subscription fees. That brought everything to a halt, and back came the weight.. Cheap ozempic was then sourced in Amsterdam, but it turned out to be doing nothing for me. More cash had to go out for higher dosages. Stopping was the only option once massive pain appeared in my hip and leg. Sciatica, I assumed, or perhaps something tied to ozempic. A year down the line it emerged that the hip/femur joint had necrosis, and a hip replacement was needed. Well, during the 4 months I was laid up, even more weight arrived. Most of that stretch went on reading up on this new fancy thing the kids were calling Reta. Now the pants are bigger and I'm back at work.. the hip is on the mend, and losing some weight would give it a hand. Coworkers of mine are on reta, and watching their journey and results is what pushed me to place an order and give it a go. So week one is under way and my fingers are crossed for the same kind of success. A random post on reddit mentioned this group, and google eventually led me to this forum. Hoping there's more to learn here, and to see where this journey takes me.. sincerely, -Ryan
