hey everyone! 5'7, 260lbs right now, and I used to work as a certified pharmacy technician. (medication is kinda my thing, so even though I'm just starting out, I feel like I'm off to a solid start!)

I've spent forever hunting for a community just like this one online. finding you all has me so happy 😭❤️ body building forums are cool and all, but they don't really fit what I'm after.

my whole life I've carried extra weight, and I put SO MUCH time into the gym and my diet trying to shed pounds. honestly, I'm over trying to solve whatever is going on with me. lol

I'll stick around until I get down to 150lbs... gotta keep some curves. hello 💅

The single most crucial fact.

Yeah, dropping pounds the natural way is absolute garbage lol. In a couple of years we'll be rocking the smallest bikinis ever. My starting point was 236 and I've shed around 20lbs over 7wks.

Can I throw out the idea of beginning at a higher dose? At 260, don't fall for that 0.5mg nonsense, no disrespect 🤣

seriously?! I'm already on tirz at 2.5 and my stomach has been giving me trouble. if you've got extra details or thread links, I'd really appreciate it.

and you're not wrong, dropping weight naturally is pretty much impossible here in america. the food and the portion sizes are completely messed up. I'm over it, I just wanna be a skinny queen 💁‍♀️

Ah, my own background is with reta, sorry!

Honestly, there are moments I wish tirz had been my starting point. Sure, tirz comes with a longer list of side effects, but I can tolerate them, and when it comes to killing appetite, it does a better job.

There is a genuinely neat method to level up your tirz, though it counts as very advanced pepping and you shouldn't bother with it until you've racked up a few hundred posts here and spent a long stretch on tirz!

Try searching for "ghetto reta." A number of people combine tirz with a newer compound called survo — the survo essentially copies the effects reta provides that tirz lacks, and the pair work together once tirz stops working for you!

All sorts of strange and entertaining things are injectable. Right now we've got roughly $700 of stuff on the way lol. 600mg of SS31, 100mg of 5AM-1-MQ, another 300 of reta, singles of BPC, bronchogen (go read about khavinson bioregulators), epithalon, oxytocin. Sitting at home we've got NAD, MotsC, DSIP, plus another 200mg of reta lol.

100% with you.. The technology has arrived at last. For ages, pharmacies and doctors sold the notion that medicines genuinely cure you. Actually, the majority only manage symptoms, while real recovery comes from nutrition, activity, and supplements. The problem was we had no way to act on that, because constant hunger weighed on you — a small treat here, a little snack there.

being able to go to bed hungry, the way I used to daydream about back when I was fat, feels amazing!

The only period I managed it was during my time in jail LOL, the food was so terrible that I wound up on OMAD for a week 🤣

I'd love to keep up with how things go for you! I'm new to reta myself, and I've been thinking about getting my gf started on it as well. The main thing holding me back is the whole hormones/ birth control angle — seems like there's a lot more to consider than there is for guys

I'll be straight with you: that applies to a ton of things... That said, I really doubt reta has any effect on hormones whatsoever. My take is the risk shows up only when reta works so well that you drop calories too far—when girls are undernourished or carry extremely low body fat, that's usually when hormone problems appear.

The main thing reta clashes with is stimulants, since it bumps resting heart rate a bit, and more so as the dose goes up. I ended up giving up caffeine completely and pulling way back on nicotine.

really appreciate the info!! I'll stick with simple stuff for a bit. once I feel more confident, maybe then I'll go full mad scientist 😂😂

You should really look into this more before deciding. From what I've come across, GLP-1s may lower how well birth control works — though the bigger issue seems to be around preventing pregnancy.

There's a vlogger I follow who was basically told her weight ruled out getting pregnant. Then she went on a GLP-1, lost the weight, and ended up having the baby she'd been hoping for.

That said, unless I'm wrong here, what you're really asking about is getting pregnant, not a sudden change in cycle timing or hormones. There's lots of solid reading on this if you want it.

No problem at all! I hope you decide to stay. Getting the hang of forums can take a bit when you're used to endless-scroll social media, but honestly, it feels like such a nice change.

As far as the mad scientist thing goes... why not experiment a little in the supplement aisle? There's plenty out there that can help and back you up while you're on just 1 peptide. Magnesium glycinate, NAC, TMG/betaine, and methylfolate/methylated b12 with R5P and P5P, D3/k2 with boron and magnesium, fish oil, myo and d inositol especially for the ladies (seriously, skip ovasitol, the price is way too high!), and also either nosalt or a decent inexpensive hydration powder that gives you 800+mg potassium per serving. I've just begun messing around with pregnenolone as well, hoping it helps with hormonal support for gabaergic pathways!

Honestly, without so many supplements at my disposal and 10 years of tinkering with them, my GLP journey would've been much bumpier, I think. Several of those are non-negotiable for me. If it came down to reta or magnesium glycinate, I'd be stuck being fat forever.

That completely slipped my mind! It does lower birth control effectiveness. I was only thinking about bad side effects LOL

Really though, the guy is the one carrying the risk. How come us dudes can't be the ones on birth control? God, I really need to get a vasectomy so no one else winds up like this 🤣
