Hi everyone, just joined.

My main reason for doing so is health issues that have limited my life for years and the hope GLP-1s may help me function again.

I'm of pretty normal weight. I'm just above "normal" BMI by a few Lbs but hold a decent amount of muscle from years of training when I was healthy, so I wouldn't say I'm particularly overweight. That said I'm not against losing some fat. Aside from that I do have high cholesterol/triglycerides.

BUT, the main reasons for looking into this is I've struggled with IHH (idiopathic intercranial hypertension) for years (pressure in the head) and it has meant on many days I barely function, it can be debilitating and I just have to stay at home and survive the day.

I recently looked into GLP-1s and their effect on this condition and amazingly there have been a couple of studies, all of which show reductions in head pressure and headaches in the patients. I'd ideally like to try Tirzepitide at a microdose to see if it helps and work my way up in dosage of needed.

Glad to have found this place and it looks like everyone is here to help eachother out.

I hadn't heard many people talk about taking GLP-1s for non-weight related reasons, especially not on this forum. Are you at all concerned about some of the effects on your diet and such that GLPs can have if you aren't necessarily looking for those effects?

Initially I don't think I'd be concerned as I would be fine losing a little weight and improving my metabolic health but yes at a certain point I wouldn't want to lose weight and hence I'm hoping a very small or "microdose" might be enough to help with some of the health issues without suppressing appetite too much.

Welcome! Peptides have absolutely changed my life and helped make my blood pressure normal to where I no longer need medication, lower my high cholesterol levels, reverse fatty liver disease, greatly reduce inflammation, and helped me to just be alive again. Best decision I ever made and I know you will be glad you started as well.

Tirz has been amazing for my inflammation, well before any appreciable weight loss. I hope it does the same for you!

Comments like this give me so much hope! Can I ask how long it took before you felt benefits in that regard?

The first week or so. Before any appreciable weight loss. It didn't even dawn on me at first that it was the meds, I just thought oh, hey! Good day! And then those benefits never stopped. I had had intermittent lower back pain/stiffness for decades (horses) and foot pain-fat and thin-because I walk 8-10 miles a day, most days. I still do, but without the foot pain.

Oh wow, I'm starting today and I have all sorts of pains.... I hope I get a similar experience, can't wait! Thanks for the quick reply 🙂

oh wow, a welcome post that gave me alot more to think about than just a simple hello lol.

Thanks! I had no idea and haven't heard this about Tirz. It's starting to peak my interest more and more ! Hope you find the answers you need.

Welcome! Your reason for exploring GLP-1s is really interesting. I’ve been following the peptide space for a while, and it’s fascinating to see more real-world experiences beyond just weight loss. Wishing you the best on your journey, looking forward to hearing how it goes!

Reta is great but you have to be mind full to not run high doses for a long time or else it’ll actually cause negative effects in your digestion

I hadn’t heard about Tirz helping out IHH. That’s great.

I can tell you that I was also a few pounds over my ideal weight. I’ve been on Reta for a little over two months now, and it’s been amazing. I thought I was maybe 10 lbs overweight, but looking at myself in the mirror, I’m adjusting my weight goals. So far, I’ve lost 20 lbs. I’m 6 feet tall and now weigh about 185 lbs. I have to start lifting weight more intensely.

Good luck on your journey!

Good luck! Tirz sounds like a great start, and very affordable for research. Start small and work your way up. The cool thing about the pep world is that the supplies needed are universal so migrating to another pep if needed is simply the cost of the pep.
