Hey there! I'm a woman in my "middle years" 🤮, going through perimenopause, and I also have PCOS/PMOS. That combo pushed me to begin microdosing T to shed a few lbs, thanks to insulin resistance and hormone-related issues. I've tried a handful of other peps through compound pharmacies before, and that's what brought me here! Glad to join and to have started my own exploration in this space. Can't wait to keep picking up more knowledge and experiences from everyone as I go.

Greetings to NOLA from a former Dville resident who's been around a while. My aunt hailed from Westwego. This really shows my age, but back in my younger days I'd go grocery shopping with her at Schwegmann's (LOL). Wishing you the best on your journey. And if you could just ship me a few shoe soles

Glad you made it down the rabbit hole! I'm also in the premenopause stage, and I'm dealing with ongoing inflammation that I'm looking into ways to address. With any luck, we'll both track down what we're after; this place has plenty of solid information.

Nothing beat Schwegmann's, honestly!!

Yeah, once I hit 40 in recent years, I at last received proper diagnoses for several health issues — following decades of being dismissed and given wrong labels. The perimenopausal phase really tends to expose all of that! Eventually I reached my limit; I'm fed up with how badly my past physicians handled my care. Crazy!

When you say T, are you referring to Testosterone or Tirzepatide?

Sorry if this comes across as a dumb question.

No, you're fine! That one's on me — Tirz is what I should have written. That said, I do intend to add very low dose Testosterone Cypionate before long as well.

Glad you're here, hon! I'm in that middle-aged club as well. My cycles stopped for several months, and myoshitol made a big difference for me. I'm hoping you've also got your hands on some good-quality PCOS/PMOS supplements.

At some point I really need to make it to NOLA. Music is a passion of mine, and I get the sense it's a truly magical spot

I should definitely look into that! From what I've read, Kisspeptin may assist in steadying the body's own estrogen output, which could level out hot flashes. That worries me since autonomic nervous system dysfunction is something I also deal with 😩 so I'd like to research it further and maybe give it a try. NOLA is absolutely a magical place.. though in my opinion it's better for a visit than for living LOL

I've spent time living and working there, and I still come back to visit — though I ended up relocating a short distance north. If you accept all the quirks that come with it, it remains a fantastic spot to call home and stay within reach of everything. I won't ever put too much distance between myself and the city, though. Between the cuisine, I rely on Tirzepatide just so I don't spend every moment devouring Poboys!
