Hey everybody! Joining this community to pursue better health and reach the targets we've set feels really exciting!!
Staying healthy has been a lifelong battle for me, and since my brain is finally done cooking (turned 25 earlier this year
), I'm determined to build the routines and choices I can keep up for the rest of my life!
I stumbled onto this incredible forum via Reddit (yeah yeah lol) but I'm thrilled to find so many folks here chasing the same things and ready to lift each other up!
My aim is to get on reta. Before it became trendy + insanely priced, I was on semaglutide. Back when I used sema, I was going through trial pens from a buddy, and I went from 178 down to 145 pounds + with roofer diet and exercise. Sema genuinely killed my food noise, plus it boosted energy levels + focus and eased overall joint pain. I've been off it since 2024, and I kept 148-152 pounds until late last year. I work in the ER in healthcare, and when I finished my grad program I had great shifts; now I'm on nights and I can't keep my routine / I've been eating nothing but junk. Basically I'm back at 167 pounds now.
Target weight is no 140 pounds, I'm 5'6, younger female. The lifestyle I want is getting back to the gym lifting weights 4 days a week and hitting at least 12k steps daily. Also planning to try yoga 3x a month.
Any advice for newbies trying something different would be hugely appreciated!!! I'll update yall once I buy / how it goes :3
