A friend pointed me at this forum. A year back I was morbidly obese at 310 lbs, a single decimal point short of diabetes, and dealing with cholesterol, aches, pains, sciatica, lumbago and obstructive sleep apnea on top. Zepbound started in April of last year at $55 dollars a month, and the weight began coming off while I felt better.

Then January took my insurance coverage: the group plan dropped weight treatment. Lilly Direct was beyond my means. My doctor sent me to a pharmacy at $280 a month for 4 pre-filled syringes. I've since stopped that too — cost again — after Reddit pointed me toward telehealth outfits where I got the figure down to roughly $150/month, and I'm using one of those now for Tirzepatide therapy. There may be room to cut that further and put the savings into other tools people here have had luck with.

About 75 lbs are gone, with more to go. I'd like to take more control of my own health by learning how others managed it and which tools they reached for. I want to keep getting healthier. I'm 61 and would rather feel good than feel bitter as the years roll on.

Tirzepatide therapy managed what I couldn't manage alone... it changed my relationship with food. Thanks for reading!

Cheers,

Yeah, these pharmacies are out of their minds. My wife and I ran into a similar situation, and at this point we're attempting to head down this path, ditch the large US corporations, and grab a bit of control over our own journey. With any luck, you and I can both find improved information and, even better, improved outcomes by going this route.

Honestly, even with pretty good coverage, the cost of healthcare pushed me right out. Hopefully I can wrap my head around this Bitcoin thing...it seems pretty intimidating...
