Hi guys☺️

My guess is that I'm in the same boat as many newcomers on here; I began looking into things, went down several rabbitholes, and eventually came across this wonderful place. Being here to keep learning makes me glad. Even though it's been a couple of months and I've gone deep, I still feel there's plenty left for me to learn.

That's where the scared part shows up. I hope I won't say stupid things or ask questions that are too dumb. To try to keep that from happening, I'll keep educating myself. I can picture that the seasoned people here have heard it all, and at times it must be frustrating

Now a little about me:

At 32y old I was diagnosed with hormone (oestrogen) sensitive breastcancer. Because of my "young" age, I got aggressive treatment.

Chronic fatigue (me/cfs) developed. At first I kept being told that if I just rest, my energy would come back, but unfortunately that never happened.

So why am I here => I hoping to improve my quality of life

(I'm not a native English speaker, so excuse any mistakes 🙏)

Hey Lyzzz

I can relate to what you're going through. About 15 years back, I came down with Dengue fever, and it developed into long Dengue—similar in some ways to long COVID. There were moments when I'd just be seated and feel like I might faint. That went on for close to a year, until I made changes to my eating habits, cutting out fast foods and junk foods. I began using vitamins and hitting the gym. The beginning was tough. On day 1, after just five minutes on the elliptical, I thought I was going to collapse. I returned the following day and took my wife along, since I wanted someone present in case I did collapse, someone who could make sure I received medical care. Each week I increased by five minutes, until I reached an hour. After that, I began increasing the resistance. Fortunately, my wife grew to enjoy working out, and we motivated one another to keep showing up five days a week.

A few things I've discovered that help with energy are NAD+, SLU-PP-332 taken in the morning, creatine before workouts, and having a protein drink before going to bed. The protein makes me drowsy, and it has led to much better sleep at night, instead of dozing on the couch after work.

Best of luck on your journey. I hope you find someone who helps keep you motivated, the way I did.

It truly warms my heart to read that. It's wonderful that you two are able to lean on one another ♥️ Really pleased about your progress — that's great motivation 💪🏻

Thanks as well for the suggestions, I'll check them out 🙏🏻

Sadly, anything active that gets my heart rate up triggers a chronic fatigue PEM crash cycle for me. I've been searching for workarounds. That's part of the reason I'm here.

Is there a protein drink brand you'd suggest that doesn't taste awful? 😁

Lyzzz, welcome aboard!

Honestly, peptides and the whole process of injecting ourselves can feel pretty intimidating sometimes. Retarutide was actually my first go-around with needles. I was scared out of my mind, but once I was done I realized it was no big deal whatsoever.

My advice would be to keep digging into research and simply browse the threads. Get familiar with the terminology and notice the finer details that this community has. Before long, you'll reach a place where you can make a well-informed choice about which path suits you!

Wishing you the best =D

English looks perfectly fine to me!

Glad to have you, take a look around for information — I'm also just starting out here. Still, this forum has plenty of kind and knowledgeable folks.

I really appreciate the support 🙏🏻 thank you

And yeah, giving myself the shots is definitely what worries me most 🙈 Needles don't bother me (chemo turned me into a pincushion), but sticking myself is a bit intimidating 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

The protein I typically rely on probably isn't sold where you live. To mask the flavor, I'll put in stuff such as banana or raw cacao powder. Right now I'm in Thailand, and nearly all the protein available here carries a Chinese brand. The taste is terrible. The vanilla version is overwhelmed with vanilla, and the chocolate option is always double chocolate and tastes horrible. Occasionally I combine them just to make the taste tolerable. I enjoy throwing in blue berries, then blending a few seconds longer. Since I've dropped a lot of weight and have some saggy skin, I've begun including a couple of scoops of collagen peptides into the mix as well. Try out flavors you enjoy. I put in the collagen because I didn't care for its taste either. One drink instead of two.

I dealt with the same chronic fatigue. The supplements genuinely do help, they boost energy, and assist with recovery. If you don't get your heart rate up, you'll simply waste away. Begin slowly, don't count on big leaps in performance. The first few sessions hurt, your brain will scream at you to quit, that you're going to die. I increased by only 5 minutes per week, and honestly, some weeks I couldn't manage to add five. For you, it might be 2 minutes.

When COVID hit, the gym's in my area closed. I discovered a large park with a trail looping around it. Five days a week we'd walk it, and just like with the elliptical we began slowly and kept extending the time. We went at the same time daily and eventually started meeting others doing the same. Some were training their dogs, or bringing their kids to play. After a while it turned into a social outing. Before long we were eager for it.

So the beginner adventures start now ☺️

(Also, shoutout to picking up English as a kid from American TV with subtitles 🤓)

Sorry, I missed your comment entirely or I'd have come back to you sooner 🙈

How on earth did you know about the two minutes? 😄 Spot on, it's uncanny. Only just moved from 1min 30 up to 2min

Thank you for the protein experimenting ideas 🙏🏻 the artificial flavour is what always trips me up. To my taste buds it lands as this odd sweetish note.

I appreciate you sharing your exercise journey. Can't explain why, but it leaves me with a warm sort of happiness. Warms my heart, most likely 🤦🏻‍♀️

Fatigue can be terribly isolating, so it lifts me to read about your experience and that social outing

Edit note: I came across people on Reddit using ghk-cu against sagging skin. Whether it works I can't say, and you've possibly seen it already, but I thought it worth passing on.

Another thought — would snap 8 be enough? Since it's nicknamed botox in a bottle

Two minutes is something I understand. There was a time when making it across a street was all I could manage. Afterwards, I had to sit down and take a minute to rest.

If the sweetness really isn't for you, raw cacao makes a great addition. It has health benefits too.

GHK-CU is familiar to me — actually, I placed an order for some today. I kept delaying it since it requires a daily injection, but these days I'm already doing daily Tesamorlin, so combining them into just 1 injection should work.

You've convinced me about the raw cacao 😁

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it truly works for you🤞🏻
