Hi everyone,
After spending a few weeks browsing the forum, I figured it was finally time to make it official and become part of the community.
I live in the UK, specifically the Midlands, and I've been taking Mounjaro (tirzepatide) since April 2025, which was prescribed through the NHS for type 2 diabetes. I also used the chance to shed some weight, since I've struggled with being overweight since I was a kid, and this prescription has felt like a real lifeline.
Right now I've gone from nearly 120kg down to 80kg, and I still want to lose another 20kg. But there's a problem: my doctor refuses to give me anything above 5mg since my blood sugar is well managed at this dose. Going private to supplement it isn't an option without giving up the NHS prescription. That's what set me on the path to start researching!
Anyway, that's plenty from me. I'm excited to get involved in some good conversations and learn more about all of this.
