Hi everyone,

I've been getting Mounjaro through a few different well-known pharmacies, and the pens have been costing me £230-£300 each month.

That's just not something I can keep paying, and I've gone from 30 stone down to 21 stone.

For this next stage, I need a community that's safe and supportive.

Honestly speaking, I've got no idea what the first step is or what lies ahead.

If anyone has dummies guides, I'd really appreciate them!

Thank you!!

Welcome mate, you've come to the right spot. Don't hurry into anything — take your time, search around, and go through as many posts as you can. Well done on what you've managed so far, keep at it, and the grey roads are way cheaper 👌

Hello, and my situation mirrors yours quite closely......Once September's price hikes hit (here in the UK) and word started going around about the 'golden dose' being taken away, I knew I had to search out other options, and I'm happy that this site turned up.

Much appreciated 😊

My one concern is that "the math ain't mathing" and I end up totally lost. I'm still working out which vendor to check out, and how the 15mg ratio works with the vials.

Thanks a bunch 😊

Yeah, my only worry is 'the math ain't mathing' and I get completely confused. I'm still figuring out what vendor to look at and how 15mg ratio in the vials.

When you're just starting out, one sensible approach is to get vials that, once reconstituted, will cover a month's worth. So if your current Mounjaro dose is 15mg, the tirz 60 kits might suit you — each vial gives you 4 doses of 15mg. Since 1 kit contains 10 vials, a single order would last you 40 weeks.

My first experience with treatment came through the NHS, back before it became nationally available to those who qualify. That ended a few months back because my BMI had gone down — though it was still 40 or above — and I don't have any of the other health issues that would make me eligible for NHS support.

Both my partner and I work full time, and £300 every month simply isn't something we can fit into our budget. On top of that, I really can't be bothered hunting around for cheaper pharmacies for mounj each month.

When news came out that they intended to take away the extra liquid for the golden dose in Mounjaro pens, that's exactly why I chose to switch to grey as well. Did they actually go through with it?

A good idea when you start is to buy vials that will last you a month when you reconstitute them, so if you are on 15mg of Mounajro now maybe the kits of tirz 60 would work for you. 1 kit is 10 vials so you would have enough for 40 weeks with one order.

That's really helpful, thanks! One thing I'd like to ask, if you're able to say — if it's prepared and then stored in the fridge away from light, would 40 weeks still be fine, as long as I keep an eye out for things like cloudy residue or any change in colour?

As of now, they're still available, though plenty of talk suggests that could change before the year is out. A 15 mg pen was costing me close to £300. If I can track down a decent grey source, the difference in cost is enormous, so I'm planning to switch to RT too.

From what I've noticed, a few pen makers have already kicked off the process of doing away with the golden dose. You'd think they'd cite 'safety' as the reason to hang on to it, if only for priming purposes, wouldn't you? But it seems that's not the case! 😂 It's purely about the money!

Wow, thank you for that info - question (if able to answer). The 40 weeks would still be safe once prepped and kept dark in the fridge just so long as I check for any cloud like residue/ discolouration etc?

Not exactly. In a way. Reading different threads here will show you that the product is sold as a kit containing ten vials of lyophilized (=freeze-dried) peptides.

Bacteriostatic water is needed for reconstitution (it may be difficult to get in the UK, and it's tricky on the grey market). Math and a calculator come into play (see my signature).

Typically, the majority of the kit stays in the freezer, a single vial is reconstituted as required, the remaining bac water is thrown away, and the reconstituted vial is kept in the fridge for no more than a month. On these boards you'll find that some individuals (myself among them) accept bigger risks. But certainly not the entire kit, after reconstitution, sitting in the fridge for ten months.

I'm also planning to move to RT at some point. The only thing left is tracking down a trustworthy source for T... I've been digging through this forum using search terms, yet there's hardly any discussion about UK-based suppliers.

It’s on its way - from what I last heard, Austria had already been reached. My final Kwikpen arrived today and it seemed to still be included, though I don’t know for how much longer….

Glad to have you here! I’ve got a slight head start on the research side. The site is packed with plenty of solid general info. What I’d say is: go at your own pace and avoid rushing into anything prematurely!

My advice would be to spend a good while reading — days, maybe weeks — before doing anything, and to lean on the search function to dig things out. The more you understand about how others have navigated this, the safer and better informed you'll be. The usual serious problems come down to two things: losing money to an unreliable seller, or messing up the dosing and accidentally taking 10 times what you meant to. So it's essential that you know how to reconstitute peptides with BAC water and measure out the dose you're after — with this route, nothing is there to catch you if you get it wrong. If you've previously had a prescription, then at least at some point you've received some level of medical guidance about GLP medications.

Here, we deliberately hold back from handing people a ready-made answer on where to buy, because the idea is that while you're hunting around for what you need, you'll pick up more along the way about safety, side effects, dose adjustment, and how to judge which sellers are reasonably safe. Besides, any list of recommendations or approved vendors would end up twisted by sellers and shills, so it couldn't be relied on regardless.

The UK approach of funding them for a maximum of 2 years strikes me as a bit odd, since in most cases these are a long-term treatment. Considering the starting weight you mentioned, which I believe is 190 kilos, that point would matter a great deal.

Hey everyone, I'm DjJoshua and I'm based in the UK 🇬🇧.

I started exploring gray-market peptides roughly 2 months back. When that initial shipment of "beauty supplies" (if you catch my drift) at last arrived from China, I was really excited. But now, to be honest, I'm pretty stunned—the peptides I received are valued at about $6,000, yet I only spent around $800. That said, I still need to send it off for testing, so I can confirm it's all legit and clean before I use any of it.

If you buy from a UK seller, expect to pay at least 10 times the price you'd get from a Chinese supplier. Even those people flipping individual vials at huge markups are sourcing them from China. The bulk of it originates there and then gets branded as whatever company is reselling it.

Also based in the UK here. I've only just begun looking around for a trustworthy source, but in the end I went with the pre-filled pens. I know myself well enough to realise that if I had to mix it myself, I'd slip up somewhere and wind up taking too much.
