Began tirz 6mo back and things were going well. Appetite was greatly suppressed, food noise went down, and I dropped 46 pounds (roughly 1.8lb per week). But recent labs came back and it seems my liver isn't pleased — liver enzymes are significantly elevated. So it's back to square one to figure out what else might be available for me. I'm hoping this group can teach me something and help me find an option that suits me and my liver. I don't want to throw away the progress I've made and slide back into the old cycle of putting on even more than I lost.

That really stinks. Have you looked into glutathione at all, or given any over-the-counter precursor supplements a shot (such as GLYNAC)? For liver support, they could be a solid, fairly simple place to begin. Glad to have you here in the forum!

I’ve run into a few of the same problems, and after digging around I came across the pairing of glycine with NAC—each one a precursor to Glutathione—which seems made for exactly this situation. So my plan is to begin GlyNAC, and later, once I’m able to source Glutathione, I’ll stack it on top. Does anybody here have firsthand experience, whether positive or negative, with this combo?

Wait, tirz can lead to liver problems? I haven't begun any treatment so far, but I'm still weighing which choices would suit me best. Welcome!
