Hey all

I'm a guy in my 30s who stays reasonably fit. After falling into a rut, I ended up at 255~, which was the heaviest I've ever been. Dieting isn't new to me — I got down to about 185 with solid muscle, then a new job came along and I climbed back to 220 (my appetite is huge). After doing some research, I came across Reta, which looked great for losing weight, so I found a source and I've been using it for roughly 3 weeks. I figured Reta would wipe out my hunger entirely, but that's not how it went. In my case, it simply made it easy to stay on a diet, plus it cut cravings and clearly raised my TDEE.

I'm excited for peptides to go more mainstream, since they seem kinda unbelievable.

Agreed, they do seem unbelievable.

I'm 27, in a similar weight class, and I've also got a huge appetite. I never reached 180, though — for most of my adult life I've stayed between 220 and 250.

Hunger has been pretty manageable for me, but I've been dosing aggressively to match. Now entering week 3: the first week I began with 0.5mg split across four doses, then 3 days later 1mg, and 4 days after that another 1mg.

If you're after appetite suppression, don't hesitate to slam it lol.

Why choose a daily shot rather than a single weekly injection? Does any research support that approach, or is it simply something you tried yourself and found works better? I'm just curious — not trying to challenge you or anything.

I’m not doing daily injections!

Initially, I planned for two pins each week, beginning with 0.5mg. But once the second dose wore off, the hunger control wasn’t holding up, so I added two more doses within that same week. That combination brought me to a point where things feel right.

Following that, I moved to 1mg 3 days afterward, and then took my next 1mg dose 4 days later. Honestly, waiting 5 days would have been fine too.

My guess is I’ll settle into 1mg every 3-5 days, as long as it keeps my appetite in check.

Starting at 0.5mg × 4 worked out really well for me — I got past the rough patch and avoided side effects that might have been far worse.

EDIT: And no, obviously there’s nothing scientific supporting this. Eli Lilly’s studies used fairly strict and predictable dosing schedules, although I think they did test twice weekly injections. The reality is the half life is 6 days, and I get pretty hungry well before that.

I haven’t stepped on the scale for the second week, but as I mentioned, I feel fantastic and look the part, plus I dropped four pounds during the first week.
