Hey all,
My reason for signing up is twofold: I want to pick up tips from this community, and I also want to pass along what I have been through myself.
I began taking reta at the end of May, and I have already dropped 40 pounds, starting out at 246 pounds. Before I began, I was prediabetic; these days my glucose readings sit back in the normal range. Heart disease and diabetes both run in my family, and since my body was sending obvious warning signals, I made the choice to give Reta a try. Up to this point things have gone really well, with almost no side effects at all, and I consider myself very fortunate for that! My starting dose was 1 mg, and that is still what I take today. Even at this dose my appetite remains heavily blunted, though I keep wondering whether other people have the same response. I read accounts from users who are taking a far larger dose. If your appetite is still this strongly suppressed, does raising the dose actually add anything?
I can't wait to hear about other people's journeys!
Thanks,
Dutchinbelgium
