Hey everyone! Glad to be joining this community.

I'm a guy in my late 20s, 185cm tall, and I currently live in Hungary. Being overweight has been part of my whole life, with repeated attempts to shed the weight that never worked out, and now my weight-loss journey has become a major focus for me. On 2nd September I began at roughly 177 kg (390 pounds), and as of 17 october my most recent recorded weight is 166kg (365lb). That progress is encouraging to see, even though I'm well aware there's still a long way ahead of me.

Since 2nd september I've been on tirzepatide and logging my food intake, calories, protein, and fat so I can better understand how I'm progressing. My first dose was 1.25mg, purely as a test, since I wasn't sure about my product and was worried about endotoxins, and then I took another 1.25 2 days after the first one.

September 2, 2026 1.25 mg

September 4, 2026 1.25 mg

September 11, 2026 2.50 mg

September 18, 2026 3.25 mg

September 26, 2026 3.25 mg

October 2, 2026 4.00 mg

October 9, 2026 5.75 mg

October 16, 2026 5.50 mg

I realize this journey will take years, so I've been searching for a long term diet I can actually sustain and that's easy for me, especially since I'm mostly sedentary. Over the past 2 weeks my daily average has been about 1,800 kcal/day, though the last day or 2 before my next pin pushes that number up.

Reaching 130 kg (285lbs) is my first major goal, and eventually I'd like to lose considerably more. I want to learn from people at different stages of their journeys, and I've been lurking here for about 3 months now. I've found few people who started as high as me in weight. Still, the forum has helped me and was a main driver in getting my journey started.

Welcome!

It surprises me that you haven't come across many others here with your starting weight or highest weight, since there appear to be quite a few. Keep reading and you'll find them ; )

I see you moved your dose up rather fast without sticking to a standard protocol. What's your approach for deciding when to increase? And why did you go back down from 5.75 to 5.5? Have you dealt with many side effects? Since spending time here, one thing I've picked up is that there are LOTS of ways to use GLPs and still be successful.

Once I looked around after that, I did find a few. For me there are basically no downsides. I get a bit of stomach ache from feeling full, and at around 5 I belch quite a lot. The slight variations come from the syringe, since I'm using grey. Still, this past week I've noticed the food noise has returned, especially on weekends when I'm at home, though the fullness helps keep it in check.
