Newbie here from Ohio! I did compounded semaglutide for a few months late 2024 thru early 2025. I ended up seriously ill with gallbladder issues, had it removed, and took a year off. I believe I had gallstones to start even though I had no symptoms and the sema kind of pushed it over the edge. I had lost about 17 lbs, quit smoking about 5 mos ago and gained it all back in that time frame. I wanted to give glp-1 another try and have been on compounded tirzepatide for about 3 mos now and it's going alright. I've been losing fairly slowly. I'd say 2 lbs every 10 days. I do track my food through MFP and have been staying under my goal. I've noticed more of an appetite lately and think I probably need to titrate up but I don't want to max out too early. I'm at 7.5mg currently. I think it has also helped with not craving nicotine and has helped with inflammation in my body. My plantar fasciitis has gone away and it's been awhile since I've had carpal tunnel symptoms. I'm definitely interested in Reta and the addition of glucagon. I'm learning about all these different peptides that I didn't know existed! Im interested to learn more and hear everyones experiences
. I'm also mind blown that my $160 a month tirz isn't that great of a deal after all lol. I'm a numbers nerd and former certified pharmacy tech so I think that reconstituting myself shouldn't be an issue and am considering that as my next route. I'm a 40 yo F and definitely not losing like I did when I was younger. It's been a struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Im grateful for these tools! I've been focusing on meeting my protein goals but need to focus on adding exercise and building muscle. I have a sedentary office job and spend the rest of my evenings running kids to sports, cooking dinner, cleaning up and crashing out at the end of the day. I'd love to hear others experiences about switching over to reta from tirz and any tips you may have!
