Hey everyone! A few years back I put on a significant amount of weight. I reached roughly 270 lbs, and any sense of confidence I once had disappeared. Wegovy was prescribed to me, and I dropped a good portion of that weight. These days my insurance won't cover wegovy anymore — that's been manageable — but since I've added power lifting into my routine, I'm starting to see a version of myself I never thought possible. The catch is there's still a lot of fat hanging around my midsection. Curious to find out what research peptides might do for me!

Welcome to the forum!

Insurance companies drive me up the wall. My Zep request got turned down, yet they went ahead and sent in a prescription anyway—filling it would have cost $550.00, even though I satisfied every criterion needed to qualify.

Thanks to Tirz, I'm down 28 pounds over 5 weeks.

see if your doctor can resubmit it...getting my Ozempic approved was a struggle...if I remember right, it took 3 attempts

Glad you found us. In my case, getting a Wegovy prescription from my doctor was no problem at all — the hurdle was insurance refusing to cover it. When the pharmacy told me the price tag came to about $800, I turned it down. More recently I learned about Reta and gave it a try, and I've shed close to 20 lbs over the course of a few months. Feel free to look around, read through the various threads, and take in whatever you can. Greetings from Bama

I recall hearing about some peptide that's meant to go after belly fat... really regret not saving that link somewhere
"Tesa" is one of those options, and its focus is visceral fat.

You're welcome!!!!

One more concern I have regarding Tesa: my fat is far more — possibly entirely — subcutaneous instead of visceral, so I doubt it would be effective in my case.
