44(F) based in Utah. As a disabled veteran, the military injuries from my earlier years eventually caught up with me a few years back — I ended up flat on my back, dealing with surgeries, pain, and nerve damage affecting my legs and back. For 5 years, unless it was absolutely necessary, I basically stayed curled in the fetal position and didn't move. Working became impossible. Feeling awful all the time wore me down. Being overweight and broken wore me down. To give myself enough of a push to start moving again, I began compounded Tz in September. Just the reduction in inflammation has been transformative. I'm able to walk through the grocery store! I can stand upright for more than 30minutes without turning into a whiney ball of pain. Things were going well until my first vial of Tz with B12 arrived. That's when I began experiencing all kinds of itching/burning skin reactions, severe GI problems, and once again I was stuck in the fetal position. Losing weight is something I want, but not by way of dysentery. As a test, I tried some leftover straight Tz at the same dosage and had zero side effects. Since compounding pharmacies rely on additives to work around issues, it looks like avoiding them and avoiding personal bankruptcy means I have to do something different. For me, that translates to taking control of things myself. It's scary, but going back to being a human slug is unimaginable now. For me it isn't about weight loss, it's about feeling better. Thanks for having a group like this with all the information.
