Howdy, everybody! Finding this group has made my day. I spent the last couple of days poking around trying to figure out where everything is, and that welcome email full of instructions really helped me out.

So here's a little about me: I'm 41, a woman, and I come from Hull Tx, which is a really small town. I've been married for 24 years, I've got 5 kids, and I'm a MayMay to 2 grandbabies, with a 3rd on the way. My whole world is my family. Nearly 5 years back, a car accident took our first born child from us. She had only just turned 20 and had finished high-school the year before that. It shattered me and the rest of my family completely. When I lost my daughter, I also lost who I was. Since then, my life has been a fight physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Back in January, I promised my family and myself that in 2026 I would do everything I can to find some confidence, joy, good health, and peace. I refuse to let them down. Health came first for me because that is 100% within my own control. I started seeing a psychiatrist, and it turned out there were things she could help me with that I was dealing with. ADHD, PTSD, Depression, and an eating disorder. Yikes, right! But day by day I can feel myself getting mentally stronger. After that I saw a physician, and she began treating me for peremenopause, plus she started helping me fight my eating disorder by prescribing GLP 1 semaglutide. Tirzepetide was what she reccomended, but it cost so much more. My results so far have not been great. I keep fluctuating between losing 0 lbs and 2lbs.

I was hoping to learn more about peptides of all kinds and what kind of help they might offer me. Plus a affordable way to get them. My search started on Google and led me here. Finding my way around this is a little overwhelming, but discovering this group has brought me relief. I feel like I'm on the right path, and I'm very happy to be here. Hopefully I'll make some friends along this journey. Thanks for taking the time to read and get to know a bit of my story, who I am, and who I'm fighting to get back to.

Maymay, I appreciate you telling us about yourself. It seems like the past stretch has thrown a great deal at you (I'm so sorry for your loss), yet at the same time you're clearly making real moves toward improving both your body and your mind. That's something to be proud of! Wishing you the best as you explore peptides!

I really appreciate it! I'm optimistic about improving my mindset and getting my body healthier. Great to meet you.

I appreciate you opening up about your family like that. That took courage, and I feel for what you've been through. My hope is that what you find here in this forum, along with the "friends" you meet along the way, will be a real help as you work toward better mental and physical health. Count me in as someone cheering you on!

Welcome! Wishing you the best as you work toward healing and becoming a better version of yourself. Have you put together a full plan for diet and exercise? Is your doctor treating your peri with HRT? Since my wife began peri 7 years ago, she has been on HRT with testosterone included, and the results have been amazing.

When it comes to a diet and exercise plan, not really. But I'll be sorting that out before long. There's a gym sitting in my garage, so it's about time I actually used it. On the HRT side, yes, my Dr prescribed the estrogen patch plus progesterone every day. That's made a huge difference for me already. Prior to starting it, I felt like I was losing my mind lol.
