Since this place has that rule, I suppose I should say hello. Over the past year, my wife and I have gone through a lot.
A prediabetes diagnosis came my way, and we started out like most folks do—eating better, showing up at the gym regularly, keeping ourselves accountable. At first we both dropped some pounds, but then progress stalled; no matter what adjustments we made, the number on the scale hardly budged.
Tirzepatide was something my wife chose to test out, and later she made the switch to retatrutide. I'll admit I doubted it and waited roughly 2–3 months. It wasn't that I objected to others doing it—I simply didn't think it was right for me. But then I saw her succeed completely while I worked just as hard and got almost nowhere.
In the end I took the plunge too, and I'm very happy I did. Roughly 6 weeks in, I've dropped 15 pounds, and honestly it has changed my life.
GLP-1s, as they have for plenty of others, unlocked something entirely new for me. I've put in endless hours reading up on peptides and amino science, attempting to grasp the mechanics behind it all. It's wild that something with this much impact stays invisible to you until you go through it firsthand.
We also brought the KLOW blend into our regimen, and for me one surprising upside has been a big reduction in hip pain. Both my hips were diagnosed with osteoarthritis when I was just 22, so that relief has meant a great deal.
Two reasons brought me to the forum:
1. Continuing to learn. There's always something more to grasp, and I like hearing practical experiences from those who've already traveled this path.
2. Finding similar-minded folks. Outside of my wife, there aren't many people I can discuss this with. About 2 years ago I relocated to her hometown and haven't built many friendships that lasted. That's small-town life, I suppose! So I'm eager to be part of a community with shared interests.
Can't wait to meet you all and pick up knowledge from each of you!
