Hello, fellow peptide enthusiasts!

This looks like a great spot to do some 'rabbit hole' digging. Before I commit to anything new, I like to examine every last detail....

As for my build, it's basically Humpty Dumpty's - thin arms and legs with a textbook 'beer belly', even though I never drink the stuff.

Three-day fasts have been my weight loss approach, but with no success, since it's clear now that my 'lipids' are largely visceral and a real health danger.

A lot of Chinese companies come across my desk through work, so peptides and the gray market have been on my radar for ages, but I never figured it had anything to do with me, until my sister dropped 50+ pounds on prescription Sema.

Once I saw the horrendous cost of Mr.Lilly's potion, I got serious about researching.

First the clear superiority of Tirzepatide, then the up and coming newcomer Reta....now you've got my interest!

I'm hoping to learn a lot and soak up everything you veteran 'tide researchers can share.

Welcome aboard! From the sound of it, you've followed the same well-worn route many of us did — it begins with a bit of curiosity, turns into several deep research sessions, and before long you're absorbing every bit of information out there about the “-tides.”

Your Humpty Dumpty comparison gave me a chuckle, though the worry about visceral fat is genuine and is a major driver for plenty of folks who begin exploring these compounds. Watching someone close to you succeed (such as your sister with sema) often turns that switch from “interesting science” to “maybe this actually applies to me.”

And your reaction to the price tags is something many share. That's precisely what leads a lot of people to investigate more thoroughly how these medications work and what alternatives might exist.

For anyone who prefers to research before jumping in, this is a great spot — there's a wealth of experience here and no shortage of rabbit holes if the science side appeals to you.

Happy to have you here, and I'm eager to see what you uncover as you dive in. 🧬

I'm the same way! I get a lot of satisfaction from digging deep into a subject and truly grasping it before I commit.

Cost was a major consideration on my end as well. Seeing so many members here doing their own research, exchanging their stories, and taking a comparable approach gives me confidence.

Excited to grow and learn alongside all of you!

Appreciate all the warm greetings!

Seems I've landed in a solid group of researchers who think alike - and I'm grateful nobody called out that my very first word on this forum has a typo!😏
