Hi everyone
NYC is where I grew up and was born, and these days California is home. Three kids call me mom, and for a long time my instinct has been to hold everything together for others… though more and more I see that I also need to give something back to myself.
For roughly 5 years, fitness has stayed a steady thread in my life. To outsiders, it probably looks like I “have it together.” The truth, though, is that juggling my job, marriage, and 3 children has worn down my body and pushed my stress up. Retatrutide is what I began in September, with a starting weight of 178 pounds. Right now I’m sitting at about 150lbs!
Life happens. Stress, poor sleep, hormones, and simply being stretched too thin all make weight loss tougher than it once was. Metabolic health, insulin resistance, and GLP-1 medications are topics I’ve been digging into, since I want a full grasp of every option available — regardless of whether I end up using them myself. Informed choices matter more to me than passing judgment on things we don’t understand.
Education, genuine experiences (not merely social media takes), and support from people who truly get it — that’s what I hope to find here. My goal is to learn a smarter approach to overall health: not pushing harder, but cooperating with my body rather than fighting it. Above all, I’m here because I’m finally ready to put myself first without feeling guilty.
Excited to learn from everyone and to be part of a space that lifts each other up!
