Hi all,

It’s good to be part of this space, and I’m eager to pick up insights from everyone here. I found this community while digging into long term weight management and how to go about it in a structured, sustainable way instead of bouncing between one method and the next. Lately I’ve also run into hurdles with prior authorizations for medication, which made things harder and ended up leading me here too. Over the years, I’ve managed some weight loss success, but as is true for a lot of people, maintaining it consistently has been the hard part. I’ve experimented with changing my diet, adding more activity, and emphasizing consistency, yet I’ve noticed progress arrives in waves rather than as something steady.

All in all, I want to take a more informed and disciplined approach, and to gain from people who have been through this themselves. I’m grateful to be in a group that appears centered on support and shared experience.

Getting denied these meds is rough, yet if you were set on drinking until it kills you, nothing would stand in the way!

My take: go about it with some common sense, but avoid working yourself into a panic or letting unfounded worries take over; Werner Forssmann ended up with a Nobel Prize after experimenting on himself to develop the catheter. What's great is that you don't have to accept anywhere near that level of risk, since whatever is understood in this area has all been tried previously.

Best of luck, mate!
