Found this forum after running into a bunch of dead ends while searching for a solid community, and I'm happy to have landed here!
About me: 29 years old, female, both ACLs have been reconstructed, and weight has been a lifelong issue. VSG came in 2023, and roughly 2.5 months later I tore the second ACL.
Wegovy was what I was on, but the dosage I was taking isn't approved for maintenance, and my appetite was completely gone. My doctor recommended making the switch to Zepbound, and wow, what a life saver. Most of my weight came off on 5mg and titrating up wasn't something I expected to need.
BUT THEN!
Coverage for it ended, I started my first in-office job in quite a while and simply had no desire to exercise. Quit vaping, and the sugar cravings were RIDICULOUS. I was aware I was sliding backward but too exhausted and worn down to do anything about it. Eating like that felt /good/.
So the result was going from my adult lowest - 195 - up to 230, a bit above where I was before GLPs. I'm 5'1 on a good day and 271 is my heaviest, but the WG still makes me sad.
Thanks to everyone for having me, and here's to new and better choices!
