Hello! I’m new to the forum. I started using tirzepatide about two months ago and am here to learn more about other peptides, particularly reta.

I’m here because with my fourth child, I developed gestational diabetes and my metabolism never recovered. Exercise and decent eating kept it from progressing, but in the last five years, I’ve had to take occasional rounds of prednisone and each time, there’s been weight gain and my fasting sugar baseline climbs a little each time. I’m not sick enough for my doctors to take my metabolic dysfunction seriously, though you can track the progression towards diabetes.

I’m a nurse in a family practice office so I know a lot about the official on-label uses of FDA approved peptides and their use. But I’m honestly revolted in how that equates to real world application and practice. I am wanting a different path.

Hello and welcome. I’m a new member as well and am equally disappointed and disgusted how the medical world seems to want people to be “sick enough” or have a “serious enough” illness or symptoms to be taken seriously and treated. I also dislike how few doctors are willing to think outside the box these days. Hope you find what you’re looking for here.

Same! And you, as well! What alarms me in American medicine is not just access—that’s a big deal—but once patients do have access, it’s a race to the highest dose. I do all the phone triage in our office so I’ve been the one to talk to our patients that have been hurt by going faster and higher than their bodies needed with these drugs. I surely don’t want to go down that path. I think these medications can be used as tools to jumpstart healthier behaviors and give people back their control over food, but there has to be wisdom, too. So, I’m coming here for better advice. And I feel like a whole menu of peptides has opened up, I am wanting to hear others’ stories in that realm, too.
