hi all!!
came across this forum not long ago and i’ve been poking around getting familiar with the place. peptides aren’t new to me—i’ve put in plenty of hours reading and digging into research—but there’s still a ton i don’t know. the studies, the data, and people’s personal experiences/results all fascinate me, so i’m looking forward to picking up more from all of you!!
as for me, i’ve used GLP-1s personally—wegovy and zepbound specifically. wegovy was my starting point from late 2023 until april 2025, and my weight went from 225 lbs to 193 lbs, then hit a total standstill that dragged on forever. (for context: i’m 5’5 and 26.)
so i made the switch to zepbound, hoping it would break the plateau and also tame the strong sugar cravings that were still hanging around on wegovy. sadly, neither improved for me. the only silver lining was avoiding the terrible constipation wegovy causes me. on wegovy, i have to be extremely diligent with fiber, miralax, hydration, and so on, otherwise things get rough lol.
in the end, insurance cut off zepbound coverage since i wasn’t dropping weight on it—i was only holding steady at what i’d already lost. luckily, they gave the green light for wegovy again at the start of this year, but that meant titrating from square one all over again, which is what i’m doing now. i’m on 1 mg currently and going up to 1.7 mg tomorrow.
unfortunately, some weight came back while insurance wasn’t covering things and while i was making my leftover doses last. lately i’ve been sitting around 203–207 lbs. i’ve been doing yoga classes a few times a month, trying to be more regular at the gym, and watching what i eat, but honestly it’s really hard when the food noise is SO loud. still, things are looking up again, and i’m hopeful the higher doses will do more.
reta interests me too, but the grey route makes me a bit anxious since i have several chronic/autoimmune conditions and already take multiple prescription medications. not knowing exactly how it all might interact keeps me wary.
anywayyy, glad to be here and part of the community!
