Hi all,

I go by Taz. For roughly 1.5 years I was using brand-name Tz, right up until my insurance stopped covering it. I filed an appeal, and their response was: [[Q1]] — plus they're pushing phentermine on me, lmao.

I never reached the top dose, and my doctor had me inject every 10-14 days rather than every 7 because I was shedding weight so quickly that the eDMS system flagged me — 27 lbs gone in 2 months. My weight has always been a mystery to me: I bought a food scale, portioned my meals, played sports, yet stayed overweight my entire life. At my first dose I was obese; now I'm at 10.

I'm incredibly grateful my doctor pointed me toward Tz, because it's been life-changing — after 2.5 I barely have any side effects, and I never altered my diet or lifestyle. I was ready to pay OOP, but it's beyond my budget. I've got 8 pens stashed away that I'm stretching month by month, basically holding out until my first order arrives from across the pond. Glad I found this forum!

There's a purpose behind everything.

Taking charge of your own health is a great move.

I'm also new here, and everyone has been really supportive so far.

Just avoid asking "stupid questions" LOL

I've seen that when it comes to this whole process, people online can be real jerks and keep things very hush-hush.

Fortunately, I already work around healthcare, so I have some familiarity with dilutions, dosage, sterility (I actually did sterility testing, lol), and so on. I feel lucky in that regard, but yeah, I've picked up on the fact that folks get annoyed by beginner questions....

Still, I've been digging through older threads! This forum looks awesome! Right now I'm zeroing in on glp1's, since the other things come across as too experimental or more aimed at bodybuilders. My focus is on my metabolism, and I figure the rest will fall into place.

You definitely run into every type of person out there, but it's also pretty easy to mistake good intentions for "gatekeeping" or being secretive with information—usually, the thinking is that the info you need is already available somewhere, and if you haven't gotten yourself to it yet, you'll reach it with a bit more time—supporting learning at a pace that feels natural… at least that's the way I prefer to believe most people mean it.

In any case, welcome to the forum and I hope you find it a good community.

I totally get why people keep things like sources and vendors under wraps. But what I've seen is that most of the community either wants money just to let you into a group (which feels shady), or they sell a PDF of info, or they push a marked-up vial on you, or hand you a code. It's really strange.

Finding this forum has been a relief. Sure, there's some secrecy here, but it's the kind you can read between the lines of and still figure out what you need. Every other place puts it behind some cryptic paywall!

My impression is that a lot of people use secrecy as a cover story so they can sell you something, or they're just fine with you getting ripped off, honestly.

Oh yeah, this whole pay-to-learn idea is complete nonsense.. None of that here.

You still have to earn certain privileges/functions with time, but the only thing it'll cost you is ignorance 😉

I went through a comparable situation, and right now I'm not taking my GLP, though I'm trying to get back on track. Good to hear you're handling it! Whether it's insurance or gray, things can be tense no matter which route you take.

Has anyone run panels checking thyroid, glucose, and metabolism?

On a separate note, posting privileges will open up for you shortly. If you want to, simply post studies or interesting finds. For example, there is some fairly interesting work happening around glp microdosing for chronic conditions.

About 18 months back, I had a thyroid issue that I handled by gradually using iodine, and after lab work things got sorted out. That appeared to have a big impact on my fat loss.
