That isn't what I go by. My regular forum handle got swapped out by autocorrect. It's amusing. I'm keeping it.
60 yrs old. 226 lbs. My line of work falls under heavy DOT oversight, and I'm having a hard time getting through my physicals. It took a year of pestering my Dr before he wrote me a Wegovy script. As it happens, no weight loss drug is covered under my medical coverage. Dead-end, that one.
4 (count 'em!) co-morbidities are mine, yet my medical plan wouldn't budge. (OSA, morbid obesity-bmi>40, non-alcoholic Fatty Liver, uncontrolled hypertension).
Peptides came up on a gun forum, of all spots. Figuring out the how/what was a jigsaw, but the son is a freshly minted Dr, and the wife is a nurse, so between us we got it sorted. The wife gets Tirz under a different medical plan, so that's the path we took, and copying the dosages was simple enough.
Went all in, and across 7 weeks I'm down 35 lbs. Began at 3, moved to 6, now at 7.5. Aiming not to go past that since results have been good so far. Even so, it's a fight. Food occupies my mind A LOT.
I came across the stat that the typical person sheds 60%fat, 40%muscle, so I've been trying to hold onto as much muscle as I can.
My focus is on very healthy eating (plenty of baked/broiled fish, skinless chicken, plenty of steamed veggies, salads, clear soups). Protein gets tracked so I stay around/above 100 grams/day, hoping to head off muscle loss.
6 days a week I work out, 1 hour each day. Cardio is a constant (rowing machine, exercise bike), and free weights come every other day (on bike day). Again, to head off muscle loss.
My calorie count has stayed near 1000/day. Then 300-400 gets subtracted by the workouts, leaving net 600-700 cal/day.
After joining this forum I've been reading up on Retatrutide and asking myself whether I picked the right peptide.
