Hey everyone, good to meet you all!

I'm looking forward to picking up knowledge from folks with experience using glp1s and other peptides. Truth is, I haven't given any of them a try yet, though I'm pretty much on the verge of taking the plunge.

My thinking shifted because glp1s are now more broadly recognized for health advantages such as cardiovascular and blood sugar improvements. Initially they were aimed at those needing to shed a lot of weight. Dropping some pounds is part of my goal, but overall my main aim is just being healthy.

All my life I've exercised and mostly kept my diet clean, yet I still deal with a few sweet cravings. I've built up plenty of muscle, but there's a layer of cake sitting on top of it.

Beyond that, I'd like to find out about anything that might assist with aging, particularly for skin and hair.

While I'm learning I'll likely stay pretty quiet, but I'm glad to be part of this.

Don't hesitate to say hi. I'm located in TX!

Welcome! There's plenty to pick up around here. I've been reading quietly for weeks and I still feel like I'm wandering. Even so, it looks like there's a ton of useful stuff to find!
Up to this point, what has struck you as the most useful or fascinating?

Hi, I'm in the same situation and working my way through everything available on this site. The sheer number of posts can feel like a lot, particularly when you're a beginner like me. Seeing so many good outcomes gives me hope.

Here’s what I’d recommend:

1. Spend time reading within this community. Steer clear of: Discord (at least for now), Telegram (for a bit longer than that), Reddit (for a far longer stretch, maybe permanently), and TikTok (until the underworld turns to ice).

2. Choose where you’ll begin - you mentioned wanting to drop 30-40 pounds over 5 months. Nobody here can offer you meaningful guidance unless we know: age, height, weight and gender (pick one). Plus any ongoing medical conditions. If you go with retatrutide or tirzepatide, you’ll need to source the compound along with supplies. We can assist by steering you toward the right options.

3. Move gradually and pay attention to your body’s signals. Don’t assume you’re a “super responder” who will be dropping huge amounts of weight in the first few weeks. Big Pharma’s suggested dosing schedules serve as a reference point.

4. Tackle one thing at a time. Let the GLP train leave the station and get well down the track before adding the next exciting item. There’s an entire world of peptides out there to explore - they’ll still be around in a few months.

All of this and plenty more awaits your discovery. Read up. Ask questions.

Good luck!

Thank you - this is really solid advice! Since I don’t use tik tok at all and have no idea what telegram even is, that’s not an issue for me lol. Still, I generally steer clear of social media. Disinformation can show up anywhere, and this forum might have some too, but it seems to be more widespread on social media since those platforms are general purpose.

At the moment I’m still gathering information. Retatrutide is the option I’m currently leaning toward as a starting point, though I haven’t made a final decision. For reference: F, mid 30s, 5’6, 160 pounds, with a goal of losing maybe 20-30 pounds, so I’m trying to follow advice suited to that.
