Hey everybody! I'm a woman, 54 years old. Together with my husband, we run a really tiny trucking company. I've got 2 kids who are grown, plus 2 grandkids. Obesity has been a battle for me ever since my PCOS went into overdrive around my 30th birthday. Losing weight had already been tough after my second baby, but then I put on 50lbs in under 2 months, with no changes to what I ate or how I moved. The heaviest I ever got was 270lbs (saying that out loud is hard). Name a diet or exercise plan and I've tried it. Every time I turned to doctors hoping for help or some relief, I got gaslit instead and was told I simply wasn't putting in the effort. After 4 yrs of strict keto, I only dropped 60lbs. I quit trying and the 50lbs came right back on fast. Next came 3 1/2 yrs of strict carnivore plus fasting. At first it was wonderful, and then it wasn't. I shed close to 60lbs, but then the weight crept back, and it felt like breaking under 200lbs was impossible no matter how hard-core I dieted. As it turns out, my thyroid was shot, and on top of that I'm in perimenopause and dealing with some auto immune problems. In July of 2025 I found a functional doctor, and that's when compounded tirzepatide was started for me, together with bhrt and thyroid medication. As a tirz responder I was extremely slow. I got close to 15mg and got fed up with the high compound prices, so in February 2026 I switched over to Grey reta. On reta my side effects are far fewer and my response feels much better. Right now I'm at 172lbs. What my goal weight should be, I still don't know. My guess is I'll recognize it once I'm there.

I'm here for information, conversation, and inspiration, and I hope I can give those back as well!

Sorry for the rambling! If you made it through all of this, bless your heart and thank you!
