Strength training has been a big part of my life, on and off, for more than 20 years. This industry has shifted a lot in that time, and in my view peps are the biggest breakthrough since Test was synthesized in the 1930's.

Within a single year, I picked up an unidentified virus from a mosquito bite in the Colombian jungle, then came down with crippling reactive arthritis, and after that I needed three abdominal surgeries plus four endoscopies. The medication list was endless: chemo, pain meds, gaba. For a year I could hardly walk. At 5'9 I reached 220 because all I could do was sit and eat.

Before settling on my recovery stack, I put in countless hours reading studies and consulting my doctor. What we landed on was BPC, ipa, tirz, glutathione. Having a doctor's guidance through something this complicated made a huge difference. When it comes to peps, most doctors are clueless, let alone willing to suggest them or assist with a protocol.

Anyway, I'm now one year out from my first surgery. During the first 3 months, while parked on the couch 20+ hours per day, I dropped 50lbs. The reactive arthritis has disappeared, I'm lifting again, bpc has fully removed the need for high dose Omeprazole to control GERD/esophagitis, and my bloodwork is the best it has ever looked. Previously it usually ran a bit high because of TRT.

Excited to pick up knowledge from all of you and to share what I've been through!

I don't know how to edit the original post.

What I was trying to write was "in the 1930's", plus "one year out from the last of the three surgeries."
