Thrilled to join this space! I'm a 30yr guy, currently hovering near 190IB. Weight training has been part of my routine for just over 3 years. My path took me from 250IB down to 163IB — an amazing ride. Looking back, shedding that much in just over a year feels unreal. Diet and exercise alone got me there.

Since then, I've put a good chunk of it back on, partly on purpose. I let things slide, but I've managed to keep a good attitude about the regain. Still, this past year has been really draining when it comes to recapturing that rigid dieting headspace I used to have. Finding this community feels like a lucky break, and I'm eager to reach my targets while supporting others in reaching theirs!

Welcome to the forum 🙂 the amount of weight you've dropped is seriously impressive. I'm right there with you — I shed a lot of weight too, and sticking with a diet plan and routine felt pretty straightforward back then. These days it's a whole lot harder. Keep your head up though, this happens to nearly everyone, you just have to hold on to hope and stay positive and motivated

Thank you! A lot has gone on in my life during roughly the past year. The combination of higher stress and bad sleep has finally taken its toll on me. I'm confident we can make it through 💪

Great work on dropping the weight and staying dedicated to lifting! Which exercise do you enjoy most?

Thank you! Honestly, I’ve never given much thought to what my favorite lift would be 🤔. As of now, I’d have to pick dips. In my opinion, it’s one of the most underrated exercises out there. It’s basically the upper body’s "squat."

Dips are a good time! I really enjoy hitting my tris hard with them.
