I'm a college student in the United States new to peptides as a whole. I have some friends who workout on the daily and use peptides themselves. In contrast, I'm on the shorter, more skinnier side and workout essentially never. Because of this I've always been on the more self-conscious side about myself.

Hoping to learn more about this new environment while trying to make myself into a healthier individual. (While also not just depending on them)

At the moment, I've been on HGH for 3 months. Overtime, I've been titrating it from 2IUs for a couple of weeks, to 3 IUs for a couple weeks, and then 4 IU for a single week to now at 5IU. In the beginning, I was having carpal tunnel, definitely more tired with surges of energy throughout the day, and now having pretty much zero side effects except some bloating. Just curious whether it's becoming less effective or if I'm just assimilating to the effects.

I also made the rookie mistake by not getting myself tested in blood or essentially anything before hopping on hgh. My roommate gave me some of his hgh and although I'm not proud of it, I've been lacking in keeping track with my blood glucose levels with my monitor.

Any advice helps!

In my humble opinion, 5 IU per day after only three months seems a little high.

From what I’ve read, it usually makes more sense to start low and increase gradually depending on tolerance, side effects and bloodwork, rather than pushing the dose too quickly.

The fact that the carpal tunnel symptoms and fatigue have improved doesn’t necessarily mean the HGH is losing effectiveness — it may simply mean your body has adapted to some of the side effects.

If it were me, I’d definitely start keeping a closer eye on blood glucose and get some bloodwork done, especially IGF-1 and the usual metabolic markers.

Noted! Do you recommend then dropping down to 4IU or 3IU? I was on 3IU for a little over a month and actually been on 4IU for 2 weeks now that I checked my logs.

I've always known that I should've gotten bloodwork done and panels for T4 and stuff like that but at the moment I don't have time due to summer classes and preparing for the next step in life. But starting tomorrow I should seriously look into blood glucose levels; especially since I started at a fasting glucose level of 90 mg/dl. Of course I don't ignore any warning signs as I've faced then before when I first started.

Thank you!

I think it would be better to open a new thread about this in the appropriate section. I’m new here too, but I just read the rules and I believe we’re supposed to avoid Q&A in the introduction threads.

I do have some experience with HGH myself, although I’m not using it right now, and I know a few people who have used it for a long time. Tag me in the new thread and I’ll be happy to help if I can. 😜

Many people are using goodlabs. You can get self pay blood work done at quest or at labcorp locations. Quest is usually cheaper.

Welcome! Honestly, I think a lot of people can relate to this. It's easy to look at friends who are already deep into fitness and feel like you are behind, but everyone starts somewhere. I would say don't rush into peptides without first building the basics. Getting into a simple workout routine, eating better, and learning how your body responds will already make a huge difference
