Hi All!

For a bit I've been reading here without registering, but I decided it was about time to sign up and say hello...

My peptide path began in July 2025, when I was prescribed Mounjaro - 2.5mg for 6 months, with no increase, after which I moved to a microdose of roughly 1.875mg (it may look like a ridiculous amount, yet it makes a 7.5mg KwikPen's golden-dose last a whole 4 weeks 😉)

Across those 6 months I went from 17st 1lb (239lb / 108kg) to 11st 8lbs (162lb / 73kg) - since 1st Jan I've stayed at maintenance, though I've just begun a second slow cut and am down 2lbs over the past week or so👍

After Tirzepatide opened that door, I began exploring peptide content more broadly and became fairly absorbed in the research - learning about this kind of thing is something I really enjoy.

In December I introduced GHK-Cu as my first research peptide, aiming to address the loose skin left by such fast weight loss, and it appears to have made a considerable difference.

Since then I've also completed a cycle that included CJC/Ipa, MOTS-C and SLU-PP-332, but over the coming years I want to refine my stack and cycles so they're properly dialled in.

Just recently I picked up 2 single vials of Reta (5mg + 10mg), planning to use it as a second microdose alongside Tirz (which I'll lower further to offset it) - only until my Mounjaro supply is gone, after which I'll likely either taper off completely or keep microdosing Reta for maintenance - we'll see

Finding this place has been great, there's some fantastic material on here!

Looking forward to chatting with you more!

/Dela 😊

Just realised the post above is missing a bit of fairly relevant background 🤦‍♂️

35M here - my weight has been up and down for roughly the last 10 years... Once I hit 26 my metabolism basically gave up. Add a desk-based job plus an old knee problem from age 19, and the pounds kept accumulating.

In 2023, while getting ready for a half marathon, I got down to 14st, but the arrival of my 2nd daughter saw most of that lost weight return thanks to Domino's and the local Chinese.

From 2020 onward, food noise became especially difficult for me, and moving to remote work with the kitchen always within reach made it much worse.

With Tirzepatide and plenty of effort, I'm currently in what is probably the best shape of my life... Leaner and stronger than at any point since my late teens, when I was a high level athlete (pre-injury), and I'm now moving into a re-comp and muscle growth phase.

I think my top abs are visible for the first time ever, and I've gone from a 44" waist right down to 30", which has been.... expensive.. because it meant replacing my entire wardrobe 😅

Hi there, another person from the UK 🙂

Nice work on the amount of weight you've managed to lose so far. Mounjaro really is like a miracle, isn't it!! I'm a big fan of it haha

Since I personally had a real battle with food noise and binge eating, I'd warn you that Retatrutide's appetite suppression doesn't match what Tirzepatide gives you. Compared with Reta, Tirzepatide's appetite suppression is far more powerful, and on top of that I found Tirz's anti-inflammatory action beats Reta's too. Once I'd gained weight on Reta, I went back to Tirz.

Give Reta a go and see how it treats you, but should things get difficult, my suggestion would be to bring Tirz back in.

Beyond the GLP-1s, GHK-CU is the only other peptide I'm on right now. I've given other peptides a try, but I had to fight the temptation to go peptide crazy and stack a pile of them just because each one sounded like a miracle cure-all.

Should you want to experiment with other peptides, avoid buying a whole batch at once, because then you truly won't be able to tell which one is working / carrying the load. Wasting your money on loads of peptides isn't something you want, when you genuinely can't tell what's making any real difference and actually doing you good.

Best of luck with your journey, it sounds like you've already made so much progress 🙂

Nice work on the weight loss. For me, though, Triz only did the job at first and then it stopped doing much.. every month I was going up to a bigger dose and despite that I dropped under 6kg across 6 months (began at 111.5kg, ended at 106kg after 26 weeks)..

All of that was with my diet kept as clean as I could manage, plenty of chicken, loads of green veg, barely any processed carbs.. keeping protien up..

I keep hearing Reta is meant to be good so...

Hello, another UK'er here - sounds like GHK-CU has done wonders, did you notice any other benefits for your skin? Around anti aging?

It's probably still too soon to say for sure, though there's 1 particular difference that stood out to me, and it's a fairly niche one:

For as long as I can remember, I've dealt with mouth ulcers that keep coming back (Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis (RAS)), and they tend to get worse whenever I'm run-down, short on sleep, or under stress.

Healing used to take roughly a week from start to finish, but after I began GHK-Cu, that timeframe has come down to around 4 days.

On top of that, my hair feels thicker — and it's far less greasy, which is honestly hard to wrap my head around!

Appreciate it, Bunny!

Over the past 6 months I've gone through a huge amount of peptide reading, and what you said about the two differing in appetite suppression is spot on - for that very reason I've told several people they should stick with Tirz.

The thing driving my switch is that these days my appetite is pretty much fully in check, cravings are rare, and I'm actually attempting to get my calories up, which in my view suits Reta more (one, less suppression; two, a higher BMR thanks to glucagon, so I can eat more).

On top of that, Reta is helping my metabolism come back after I wrecked it during the first months on Mounjaro - since around Oct/Nov I've felt cold nonstop, but now with Reta/MOTS/SLU-PP I'm much warmer! 😊

Yeah, in your situation moving over to Reta would make a lot of sense. Mounjaro always left me freezing, and that did get better once I was on Reta. The problem for someone like me was that it didn't keep my appetite in check, so I went back to Tirz. I picked cold but thin 😂

What was your experience with tirz versus reta? I've come across suggestions that reta suits fat loss alongside muscle gain (in bodybuilding circles), whereas tirz excels at suppressing appetite. Yet the Eli Lilly trials seem to frame reta as simply a stronger obesity medication.
