Hi all.
After a quick search, I noticed quite a few new members have joined from the UAE. Should we risk an IRL meetup? Maybe when the time is right..
As for me: I'm a fat guy over 40, into biohacking, and right now my impulse control around food is pretty poor. It hasn't always been that way - as a kid I battled with weight, but then I discovered zyzz (shout out to the other old heads who remember him, Rip) and I got jacked - all natty, however, I was squatting 185 kg, deadlifting 200 kg, while on an 18:6 intermittent fasting protocol, and for 4 or 5 years in my early 30s, I was in glorious shape - around 85 kgs and c. 12 - 15% body fat. Good times.
Then I injured my back, as you do - I was big, but about as flexible as your average brick, so it was inevitable I guess. Not being able to go gym hit my waistline and my mental health hard. I quickly went back to being fat. I am now the proud dad of a 3 year old and also 3 month old twins. I need to get back in shape both to be a role model for my boys as well as for my own health and longevity. This is the year I get back on the wagon, stop making excuses, get back to lifting (but with all the lessons on mobility and joint health painfully learned) and eating better - and I'm keen to also try this retatrutide thing that's being whispered about in dark corners of the interwebs. Looking forward to learning all about it from the fine folks here!
