INTRO Hello from Scotland :)

Hey all! I’ve been a member for a short while now, but I never got around to posting an introduction. My reason for being here is to get ready for a switch from Mounjaro over to Tirzepatide while I continue maintenance.

Over roughly the past 2 years, the results have been enormous — genuinely life altering. I’ve cut my weight in half and gotten back a kind of freedom I hadn’t experienced for 10 years, and since an autoimmune condition limits my mobility, it returned to me a piece of something I’d assumed was gone forever.

Still, the expense has gotten completely out of hand, so my goal here is to find out how to make maintenance more affordable long term, because in all likelihood I’ll be on this medication for the rest of my life. I still have a couple of months of supply, so I’m using this time to prepare and avoid running out — though if that happened for a while, I guess it wouldn’t be catastrophic.

The grey market makes me pretty anxious, mainly because the sheer volume of information is overwhelming, but I think I’m ready to jump in

Hey Goose, wishing you all the best as you go along. The price is absurd! The grey market gives me the creeps, though I’m hoping the folks in this community can steer me clear of the bad batches. For our first go, my partner went through a reseller. Even so, it’s far cheaper than a pharmacy route, but the gap between what overseas sources are quoting and what we actually shelled out is wild. We’re not even at 2 full weeks in, but I’ll dip a toe into the grey market before long.
