Hey everybody,
After spending quite a bit of time reading threads here without posting, I've finally made an account to say hi. The level of knowledge shared on this forum, along with the general vibe, is something I really appreciate.
By profession I'm a kinesiologist, currently in my early 30s, and health plus performance are what drive me. Things changed for me back in my late teens when I dropped more than 150lbs. That experience redirected where my life was heading and is basically what pushed me to pursue kinesiology as a field of study.
A few years back a shift started happening and a number of people I train began taking glp-1, mostly ozempic. Honestly my first reaction was surprise, since it seemed illogical to me that a drug could simply cause fat loss in people, but watching the improvements it brought to their wellbeing got me interested in the underlying science. I began going through studies and clinical trials so I could grasp the mechanism behind glp-1 and figure out ways to tweak training plans to serve clients on it more effectively.
From there my curiosity grew into peptides more generally. With all the buzz around peptide usage, and given that over the last year dozens of clients have told me they picked up certain peptides because of some random dude on Instagram, it became clear that part of my role now involves not just modifying their programs with peptide use in mind, but also advising them on risk, safety and other important matters.
Appreciate you taking the time to read this, and I'm looking forward to keeping on learning together with everyone here.
