Hi everyone,

1992 is the year I was born, and my life is split between Poland and Asia. Combat sports filled my time from age 6 to 17 and I was extremely active that whole stretch - then a computer became my workplace, and you can guess the rest.

171 cm (5'7") is my height and 93 kg (205 lbs) my current weight, the peak of the last two years and the number I want to come down from. Years have been spent bouncing between 77 and 93 kg (170-205 lbs); my lifetime max was 103 kg (227 lbs).

Those years of sport left a muscle base that hasn't gone anywhere. Stocky is my natural build, fat spreads evenly rather than pooling in one place, and dropping to around sub 80kg brings the obliques out and uncovers everything - so what's waiting under there is no mystery to me. Training plus a held diet makes the weight come off fast: 87-88 kg (194 lbs) in January 2025 became 77 kg (170 lbs) by June-August, on the indoor trainer, kettlebell work at home and clean eating - the peak of my cycling season. 4-6 training sessions a week was the routine (3-4 bike sessions, 2 home kettlebell sessions, plus stretching).

Then it fell apart: my knee got damaged in August during a 150miles gravel race, October took me to Asia for half a year, and I crept up to about 82-83 kg (176 lbs). Nor is the Asian side of my life kind to bike training - brutal heat and humidity there. November had me back on the trainer, but pushing the volume up brought the knee down again in January. Down went my head with it, and today's 92-93 kg is where I've slid to. On top of that I recently had a motorcycle accident (that was a reson for last sprint from 89 to 93kg in 3 weeks). Almost two weeks have passed since the cast came off, and swelling plus pain in my foot is still there, with damaged ligaments and tendons. Boredom has been getting killed by constant eating, I've noticed. That's the honest picture of what brought me here.

A try at Rybelsus happened between January and March 2026, back in Asia when i was around 83kg. At the beginning it kind of worked, but weight never really came off on it, real satiety never arrived, appetite suppression faded whenever the dose changed, and stopping sent my appetite and weight straight back up.

My goals now: pure sport goals give way to physique and sport goals - down to a maximum of 75-77 kg and kept there for years at around 12-15% body fat, reached through fat loss with recomposition instead of chasing scale weight, a genuinely good look built, the ankle and knee rebuilt, and my cycling endurance pushed with FTP over 300W as the number to chase (perfect cardio is what the bike is for me - the trainer always works, whatever the weather outside). The long-term carrot is still out there though: 500 km under 20 hours, but on the road bike rather than gravel, to spare my knees the constant impacts, also a physique. My skin is something I'd like to improve along the way too (very fair complexion, lots of freckles).

No someday-dream is what this is, the timeline is real: next April brings a move to Asia for two years, and landing there in proper shape is the plan.

So here is the plan - leg healed, gym sessions with my wife, a wheel spun, solid shape achieved by April, and after we land, a Muay Thai group joined together for consistent 3-4x a week training, with the bike kept on as cardio. On the bigger picture level, what this is really about is longevity, general health, motivation, fitness and a lifestyle changed for good - not another 12-week crash diet...

Her own journey is being travelled by my wife (a year younger than me) as well - atopic dermatitis is her struggle, and the same yo-yo weight and motivation battles I know are familiar to her, so reading and learning here will be for her as much as for myself.

Keeping myself honest is why a little series is being planned here - stats, measurements and results posted every two weeks or so.

Sports and business both responded well to public accountability for me, so let's see if it works here too 🙂

Thanks for having me!
