Hello everyone! Just finished up my first 2 months on Reta. So far, it's far exceeded my expectations. Looking to add in some additional peptides for targeted health reasons and have enjoyed reading through the forums and seeing what others have tried so far. Looking forward to what else I can learn on here!

Reta- quickly titrated from 1mg to 4mg, dropped back to 2.5mg week 8, lost 17 pounds and 2 inches around the waist so far

That's great results! I'm also in Oklahoma (Tulsa area). I am currently using tirz but am very interested in reta. My only concern is the heart related side effects as I have diastolic dysfunction. There has been research I've found showing that GLP-1s actually help those with my heart condition so I felt comfortable using that but have heard Reta can increase your heart rate. Have you experienced that at all?

Heart rate has been 60 or under at resting the whole time, no increase whatsoever. Have been stable at 187/188 for the past month now with small, incremental fat loss. Have stayed at 2.5mg as well. Had minimal nauseau side effects for a couple days during titration, but other than that, everything has worked better than expected.

Thats awesome. I've been on reta since April. I really cannot believe the difference i feel. I have lost 40 lbs on it. Some of the benefits im seeing is better mobility. Good luck.

Thanks for your feedback. It looks like not everyone experiences the increased heart rate. I'm thinking I may be ok if I only do a low dose in conjuction with my tirz. I have seen a lot of positive feedback combining the two.

40 is amazing progress! 10 per month sustained is a lot. Keep it up and get that protein in!

I honestly don't struggle with food noise and make good nutritional food choices , but I over eat, so still intake too many calories... not because I'm hungry or have any cravings, just enjoy good tasting food. The fullness from Reta is amazing for me and helping me get back to normal dinner portions on an everyday basis.

It seems like if food noise and cravings are high, lower doses of reta aren't always cutting it for people. Keeping some tirz or cagri mixed in seems like a good solution.

Welcome! I’m 9 weeks in on my Reta journey. Feeling great and losing weight slow and steady. That being said I also started bpc/tb blend about 3 weeks ago. Started because of an old shoulder injury that was making lifting painful. So far it really seems to have helped.

Any side-affects as you went up to 4mg?

Was nauseous for about 3 days when my stomach was empty and was getting chills at night (not a bad thing during the summer). Overall had some fatigue here and there as well, but that was it. The nausea didn't come back after those few days and once I realized what it was, I would just snack on a protein bar to make sure I had something in there.

Did the same! Had an old shoulder injury, started BPC/TB and CJC/IPA and was able to get past the final range of motion hang up. Have been doing PT for it, but got stuck at the end. I'm back to lifting pain free now. About 30 days into bpc/tb and 21 with cjc/ipa.

It sounds like all of that has passed now?

That's what I have heard. I'm going to have to look into cagri. I'm considering continuing my tirz and adding low dose reta to see how it goes. If it's tolerable, I may reduce my tirz gradually. I don't really have food noise I don't think. However, the tirz has made it easier to commit to my changes (cutting junk, portion control, etc.) I was a daily Mountain Dew drinker for like 20 years and I just put it down without a second thought. I just seem much more focused on bettering my health than I have in the past. I generally don't eat enough (I was a one meal a day person) which isn't helpful either. I've discovered that trying to hit calorie goals and protein intake has been quite the challenge. I have yet to get over 100g of protein for a daily goal. It's a struggle!

I feel your struggle with protein intake! I agree with the motivation aspect as well. I've finally gotten back to consistent strength training and continue to seek out additional changes to further improve my health, but getting 150 grams of protein is hard to do lol
