A 49 year old bloke (blimey, almost typed 50...not yet!) who is both curious about and pretty scared of peptides.

My aim is to reach my 50th birthday in decent condition; I'm not massively overweight right now, but I honestly feel older than I ever have...

I've come across plenty of good reports regarding Reta, so I'm quite inclined to try it, although at the moment it all feels a bit much.

I'm really eager to hear from other UK folks about what they've been through, and to gather as much guidance as I can.

Can't wait to chat with everyone!

Hey ! I'm a woman based in North Yorkshire - more precisely York 🙂 I've just joined as well, and I'm hoping to pick up a bit more knowledge and figure out which route suits me best. Right now I'm on MJ, though I'm considering switching over to Reta or trying a combination. All the terminology can seem really confusing when you read through it 🤣 message me whenever you like 🙂

Greetings from your neighbor on the other side of the pond.

There's plenty to pick up here, and you'll get so fluent in glps that you'll end up teaching your doctor a thing or two.

Glad to have you here☺️.

Make sure your basic arithmetic is solid and that you fully understand the concentrations in your vials. Since you'll be handling the reconstitution yourself, check out some YouTube clips and bring out your inner researcher. Peptides aren't as widely available or discussed here in the UK as they are in the USA, so take your time before making that initial order.

What's driving you to begin with Reta? Is it the appeal of something new, what you've heard about it, or past use of other GLPs? It could be a good fit if you're not looking to drop a lot of weight and food noise isn't an issue for you.

I've made several gray purchases at this point, so have a look through the crypto thread—there's a solid guide focused on the UK in there. Using crypto opens up the widest range of vendor options. Also, read Zippity's recent posts, where he breaks down the most frequent scams in this space. Best of luck, and welcome to the rabbit hole.

Welcome 🙂 I'm in the UK. My other half is Canadian but resides over here, so I reckon that qualifies him. We're both thirtysomethings, and although my own story may not mean much to you, his probably will.

At 6'2" he weighed 123kg and was dealing with the fallout of carrying extra weight, though he wasn't massive. He began on 2.5mg tirz weekly, taken from my golden dose, and roughly 4 months later moved up to 5mg. About 10 months in, he's still sitting at 5mg. He's down to 90kg and the drop hasn't stopped. Some weeks he skips it, just forgets, but it's made a real difference to his IBS, he's cut way back on drinking compared to before, and the weight came off without much effort on his part.

Arthritis is something he has, and his dodgy knee still aches when he overdoes it, yet he no longer needs a knee brace daily or to rely on zapain constantly, and he puts a lot of that down to the tirz (plus the weight loss, obviously, which has helped enormously). On top of that, his sleep apnea has disappeared, which is brilliant.

I hope you find what you're looking for here.

Appreciate the guidance. Pointers for finding my way around the threads are a big help 🤗

To find a specific topic on the board, such as a Reta stack, use the search box in the upper right. Clicking the menu button in the upper left brings up the threads. Simply choose a category like weight loss, tirzepatide, and so on.

In your opinion, is there a different option that would be a better first attempt than reta? The thing I struggle with most is intense cravings driven by dopamine seeking, so if another one of these works more effectively, I'd prefer to find that out prior to starting!

For many individuals, Tirz tends to be useful for cravings and food noise. Stacking it alongside the Reta could be something to consider. I haven’t done that myself, though a number of others in this community have. (I’m holding on to the Reta as a backup in case I hit a stall)
