Hi everyone! 42-year-old female here, standing 5'8" and weighing 183.

I've been athletic and muscular my whole life, but 2020 brought an illness that triggered severe POTS, which completely ruled out weight lifting! For a few years I stuck with walking 2x daily, starting slow and gradually picking up pace. These days I log roughly 10-20K steps, averaging 12,500 🙂. As time has passed, my POTS symptoms have improved, and just a few weeks ago I got back into lifting!

On top of that, I have MCAS. I began Retatrutide in Nov after reading that low doses might benefit immune conditions. I figured it was a good moment for some body recomp, so right now I'm on retatrutide at 1.5 mg weekly, and the weight is coming off gradually and without much struggle. I'm quite vain, so I'm determined to avoid any facial or skin problems! Thanks to the reta, maintaining a slight calorie deficit feels pretty manageable.

I just picked up some BPC-157 and plan to start it soon. My joints are hypermobile, especially my left hip. That causes ongoing muscle problems that I manage with PT, but I've never gotten fully better. My hope is that a course of BPC-157 will support my recovery as I return to lifting and perhaps even resolve some of my injuries!

ETA: if there are any POTS, MCAS, EDS, Fibro ppl HMU!! I'm curious what you are doing in this space thats been helpful.

I've noticed others treating their posts like a diary, so I figured I'd give that a shot too:

Oct 2025 came across this and brought it up with my functional MD; she suggested trying a peptide, but California licensing rules prevented her from writing a script. I looked into a compounding pharmacy and spent roughly $800 on Tirz. Right after the first shot, symptoms eased up—mainly the nasal ones. Appetite dropped a lot too. Back then I wasn't eating enough because I was recovering from a mast cell flare and dealing with nausea.

Nov 2025 learned a friend was already on Reta, so I got her supplier and picked some up from him—$360 covered 3 months. Made the switch hoping to keep the perks minus the hunger blunting.

Feb 2026 reaching that peptide guy became a real hassle and he was flaky, so I began looking into things myself. I still bought another 3 months' worth from him since I knew getting my own setup running would take time. A few weeks back I grabbed a 10 pack of Reta and a 10 pack of Tirz (mainly for my neighbor...she kept asking where I get mine, so now I'll be her source, and the price works since we're tight)

Today! I'm about to recon my first thing today, just a bit of tirzepeptide 🙂 When I tried it before, the MCAS relief was solid, but I didn't want my appetite touched, so I stayed with reta. Anything past 2 mg of Reta per week gives me serious heartburn! Splitting the dose didn't help either—same result. My hunger is back now, which is good, hitting my macro targets is way easier, though a little appetite dampening would help while I chip away at a recomp.

If it flops, it didn't cost much, so I can just bin it. My priority is MCAS support, with a small bonus of some weight loss, so I'm aiming to keep side effects minimal

Mixed up my very first tirz batch plus BPC-157!! Got the auto injector loaded too!!! The BPC kicked in inside 30 min and my deadlift session went great!! Wondering how I'll feel tomorrow 😉

Today's recovery has been shockingly good — no sensation of being 1 million years old when I got up!! Deadlift sessions normally leave me completely wrecked. Because of a hypermobile left hip, I deal with assorted muscle problems in my left glute, and the previous deadlift session made that worse, yet this time around it didn't occur!

Woke up again today feeling okay. Not great, just okay. That's a positive since I had a 4 hr drive, covered 7 miles on foot, and visited a friend in hospice (meaningful yet of course deeply sad). I got back home late, and falling asleep took some time. Even though I only slept 5 hrs--my body clock rouses me the moment the tiniest sliver of daylight slips past the border of my blackout curtain, mask and all!!--I feel okay. Not 100% but far from completely drained. Thankfully, I can take it easy today & wrap up a few things for my friends. I believe the BPC-157 is doing a LOT for recovery, because I know otherwise I'd be totally eff'd, pulling from deep energy reserves and making myself more vulnerable to illness or chronic health flares

Just dropping in with a small update. A lot of my energy is going toward looking after a friend in hospice right now, and I'm honestly surprised by how well I'm bouncing back even with so little sleep thanks to the bpc-157! My food plan was already locked in and I've simply stayed with it, so I'm still eating enough to keep my energy steady, while staying in a mild deficit, which means I'm still reaching my targets in spite of everything going on.

I never got around to completing the BPC-157 — things became hectic when my friend passed away! Perhaps I'll give it another shot down the road.

Not sure who actually reads these, but I figure folks will look up subjects like this. I just prepared my newest batch of tirz, ran it through a filter, and the whole process was quite simple.

Hi and welcome. Northern California is where I'm from too. Actually, Bakersfield originally. These days I'm living up north.
