Hey everyone, saying hi after lurking for a really looong time. I tend to keep to myself and prefer taking things in rather than speaking up, which means I've never actually written a post on any forum — I've only ever read. I guess all that reading has taught me a few things over the years, because I keep feeling the urge to jump in and fix wrong info I come across, or add my 2 cents on threads that catch my interest (and not just here, but on other boards too). So I figured it was time to push past my comfort zone and write this intro.

I've been training with weights since I was a teenager, though I never stepped on a competition stage — gym rat is a better description. I'm a type 2 diabetic in my early 50's, began TRT back in 2005, and right now I'm focused on finding a routine I can actually stick with long term: drop some body fat, then hold onto as much leanness as I can while I ease into my later years. Steroid use has been on and off for me since 95-96. My stats: 5'11" tall, sitting at 208lbs right now, roughly 20%BF. ...At one point or another I've run most of the compounds out there. These days it's just TRT, and my priorities have shifted toward health and longevity stuff... (calcium score, blood pressure, a1c) ...plus I'm hoping to wade into the pep pool!!

Hi Duragobbler, glad to have you here.

After going through the intro info, it looks like we need to put up some posts and replies in this "Introduce Yourself" thread first, and only then will the mods approve us to post in other sections.

So that's why I'm writing back to you here, and I figured I'd also pass along the heads up so your approval can move along faster.

With that out of the way... I'm wondering about the fact that you began TRT back in 2005. That would put you in your early 30's at the time, correct? Was your low T caused by the steroids you'd used before? And how's the TRT treating you nowadays -- still feeling good? Any issues?

Appreciate it ahead of time, and welcome once more.

Yep, TRT was first prescribed to me by an endo at 33! And I'm pretty confident that my natural testosterone ended up low mostly because of AAS use from back when I was 24. It's been great for me...actually I've stayed on it from that point on, though I ran quite a few cycles in the time since.

That tracks. Appreciate you taking the time to respond and share your thoughts. I've been researching T for a while at this point, though I doubt I'm at the stage of needing it, still, I'm quite curious.
