Hi all,

A bit about me: 34 years of age, standing 190 cm, and the scale currently shows about 113 kg. Sports have been part of my life since I was a teenager. I dabbled in plenty of different things across those years, though these days endurance sports and running are what I care about most.

Right now I'm getting ready for a marathon happening in October — a really big goal on a personal level. What's holding me back the most at the moment is my weight, since it clearly drags down both my running performance and how well I recover.

Weight loss is something I've attempted several times in the past. Despite training heavily and keeping an eye on what I eat, it seems my body clings to a rather stubborn set point and refuses to drop much further. Body fat currently sits at roughly 26-29%, and my target would ideally be somewhere in the 90–94 kg range.

Lately I've been reading quite a bit about peptides, Retatrutide in particular, and honestly the entire subject fascinates me. My hope is to find similar-minded folks in this space, swap experiences, pick up more knowledge, and talk candidly about results and side effects.

Most likely I'll begin Retatrutide shortly and intend to post updates and progress as things move along.

Glad to be joining the community!

Which marathon are you referring to? As someone getting older in the sport, it's encouraging to find other people who also care about athletics and performance.

My plan is to take part in the Cologne Marathon. At my present weight, I have managed a half marathon in under 2 hours already. When I do 400 m intervals, the times tend to fall between 1:22 and 1:36 minutes.

Endurance sports have become something I truly love. A triathlon might be in my future someday. Still, I often think about how much stronger performance would feel with 20 kg less on my frame. That would have to be incredible. My hope is that Retatrutide can help me get there. 😀

Wishing you the best with your marathon. Your commitment really shows, and I have no doubt you’ll do well. These days I’m retired from marathon running, though I’ve finished Boston, NY, DFW, and LA marathons in the past. At my age, my main priority is staying healthy and living longer. Like you, I’m just beginning to look into Reta. Please keep us posted on how it goes.

Mein Protein bleibt weiterhin sehr hoch.

Aktuelles Gewicht: 110kg.

Es bleibt spannend.

Quick update: I began taking 1 mg of Retatrutide last Friday. Injecting myself definitely felt strange at first. ^^

The day after, I already felt like I was getting full more quickly when eating. Over the next few days, I also sensed that my appetite was generally lower. I assumed it was placebo, since these compounds typically need some time before they take effect.

Yesterday, however, I realized my appetite was returning and I could eat more again. So I went ahead and took my second 1 mg dose today rather than waiting for Friday.

Now I am also experiencing very mild nausea for the first time. To me, that suggests it is actually doing something. 🙂

I am still keeping my protein intake very high. I run 4–5 times a week at varying intensities and have done 2 strength training sessions to help maintain muscle.

My weight is now 110 kg.

Things are getting interesting. 🙂
