Writing from England — and no, this is not how I pictured spending tonight. Brand new to all of this, so I am here to absorb everything I can; what I have read so far has me hooked, and I cannot wait to pick up how this world works and get going on my own path.
Getting a dog last year, I assumed my fitness would take care of itself. He has done wonders for my head — my closest friend, truly — but somehow, despite clocking up miles on foot every single day, the scale reads higher than it did twelve months ago. He pulled me out of a long depression, yet the other pressures in my life are far too heavy to load onto such a small animal, and they feed straight into my compulsive eating. Which is what brought me here.
Mainly I am here to absorb information — and plenty of it already landed before I even hit Register.
Only afterwards did it dawn on me that my handle could be misread. I am not Chinese; the Vermilion Bird, Zhūquè, just caught my imagination as a kid watching Digimon...
