Hey everyone, I'm Calvin, writing from Toronto in Ontario, Canada.

When I took my first Reta injection, my weight stood at 320lbs — the highest I had ever been. Today marks 95 days since that first shot, and I'm down to 285 pounds.

I joined so I can ask about combining RETA with other peptides, or peptide-related questions more broadly.

Welcome Calvin! I'm in the Toronto area too and 5 weeks into Reta. I won't step on a scale—those numbers end up running my head. The food noise has disappeared....The weight is definitely dropping. At some point I really ought to use that scale. 🙂

Glad you joined the forum! You've had some really impressive progress with Reta up to this point. How has your dosing schedule gone so far, and what has it felt like as the dose increased? Wishing you continued smooth progress! My own starting weight was in a similar range before I began Tirz, and things went well at first until I reached something of a plateau. I'm eager to switch over to Reta and hopefully get results that are more consistent!

My first dose was 1mg, and 4 weeks later I went up to 2mg. I stayed at 2mg for around a few months, and then I made a pretty dumb jump to 6mg. That was the worst decision I've made so far, because it left me feeling nauseous and dealing with every side effect there is. Even the smallest amount of food would fill me up. A single bite of yogurt kept me full for the entire day. After a few months on 6mg, I then went all the way up to 10mg. At 10mg right now, though, I'm not getting the intense appetite suppression or food noise reduction that I had when I first began. For example, I can finish a whole meal these days and still not feel as full as I did in the beginning. So that's basically where things stand for me at the moment.

That exact situation hit me too at the beginning. Honestly, dude, that scale will drive you crazy. I stopped weighing every day since mine can swing anywhere between 5 LBS and 2 LBS within a single day. Weekly weigh-ins are what I stick with instead. Solid progress, man. Don't stop.

Certain apps, such as the one from Jeff Nippard, can be handy for estimating your true weight or fat loss by taking daily scale readings and charting them with some kind of algorithm. Personally, I'm fine with weighing every day and relying on those apps, though honestly I've stopped letting the figure itself get to me. How you feel from one day to the next matters more no matter what.
