Hi everyone,
After a long stretch of just reading without posting, I figured it was time to introduce myself. I'm a mom in midlife with a packed schedule, and I'm working on getting my health back on track after post partum weight that has been incredibly stubborn and seems like it's never going anywhere. A couple years ago I gave semaglutide a try, and things went smoothly until the dosage was increased — at that point my body completely rejected it. That situation left me pretty wary for quite a while.
These days, though, I'm easing back into taking care of my health, and a friend pointed me toward this community so I could find out what's changed with GLP 1s. My doctors have good intentions, but this area isn't really their strong suit, so the whole thing has been part helpful and part puzzling. To be honest, the posts I've read here have taught me more than several of my appointments did. The science side of it genuinely fascinates me, even when I need to go over something 2 or 3 times before it sinks in.
So yeah, I'm happy to be part of this and to pick things up from folks who truly understand. Can't wait to get to know you all.
