Hi guys, so inspiring to see you all, empowered, and trying to improve your health.

Amen to you all.

Oh I'm sorry editing my post as I did not read the new member rules.

I've struggled with weight since 16 and think visceral fat (and my addiction to sweet carbs) is the culprit. Before 16 I could eat anything in any amount and not put on weight.

I've never used GLP1s but am looking to learn and my goal is to get down to a certain weight such that I can keep it there with better diet practices and regular exercise. I plan to set an upper limit to do that. Likely 30 lbs I need to shed but I will monitor how I feel as I go.

Previously tried everything and anything to combat my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome diagnosis and got up to 300lbs. Now at 160lb through keto (first carnivore but I don't do well under 30g carb a day) CICO and exercise but really struggling with the last bit of weight.

I subscribe to the Dr Sean O Mara way of thinking about your health but unfortunately his methods just inflamed me. I will try to live like him when I get down 10-20 lbs and do better with probiotic foods and little to no carbs etc.

Welcome. Yea, i think the rules are a pretty good way to keep the forum from being flooded with bots. Keto gave me non alcoholic fatty liver disease. Nothing to serious, but I’ve read some peptides will remove the fat from your liver, so I’m looking forward to seeing how it effects my labs. Good luck.

Also used keto/carnivore to lose 90 lbs. spent a long time getting muscle back after such an aggressive cut and now looking to cut again. Not paying top shelf prices for the same quality product would be a dream for me.

Keto gave you NAFLD?? It was the only thing that actually made a positive difference in my liver markers.

Well it’s what my doctor said most likely caused it. Can’t say with 100% certainty it did. But I ate a lot of fat while on keto not just lean meat. Were you eating fatty foods?

I was eating some fatty meats, fish, and dairy but never doing the "fat bombs" or butter coffee or anything crazy like that. Mostly whatever meats were on sale, salad, avocado, green veggies. I guess it'd be more accurate to say I was in ketosis, but my protein percentages were higher than traditional keto.

Anyway I dropped 60+ lbs after struggling pretty bad on normal calorie restrictions. Assuming that was due to some severe insulin resistance. All my numbers looked great after that.

Gained and lost weight back and forth since covid but my liver markers and A1C have been well in the "normal" range since I cut most sugars out.

Yea I lost a bunch of weight and I really liked it but I started having chest pain in my upper left chest so I went to the doctor and they did labs and ekg and stuff and the only thing the bloodwork showed was fatty liver and during that time that was the only change in my diet or routine. So that’s how she came to that conclusion. But to me keto is the easiest diet to stick with for extended periods of time.
