Hey everyone! Kristin here….33, raising four kids on my own, and I work in tech with companies like Microsoft/ Micron/ Nvidia. My Reta journey began on March 2, 2026, and I’ve already dropped 21 lbs. I’m dealing with Hashimoto’s (not on medication) along with other autoimmune conditions, and after putting on 40+ lbs over two years, my main goal is to feel at home in my body again.

So happy to join this community, pick up tips from all of you, and support one another! ♥️

Hey everyone! I come from MA and Reta has been treating me really well too. I'm trying out some other stuff as well, but when it comes to changing my life in a big way, Reta is hands down the main one.

Hey DG! Great to see another person from the east coast here! I'd be really interested in hearing which other compounds you've got in your stack! Lately I've been researching options for inflammation, for gut health (I also have celiacs), and for something that might help with energy! & Honestly Reta has in theory been a lifesaver for me! Up until 2 1/2 years ago I weighed 138lbs, then Hashimoto's (the autoimmune form of hypothyroidism) stopped being something I could manage on my own. Across that stretch I put on close to 50 lbs. I'm so grateful bc Imas I really didn't want to spend the rest of my life on thyroid medication! I also knew that once I began the meds, my body would produce even less on its own. So I'd love to have a buddy or buddies to go to war / get healthy with! ♥️

So you've got Hashimoto's? Years back, my mother underwent a thyroidectomy as a precaution, and she's been taking levothyroxine ever since. The pounds came off right away for her. If a thyroxine derivative is already part of your routine, it might be worth exploring the surgery as well. Oh, and by the way — welcome. May your battle against those wretched adipocytes finish with them surrendering completely.

That is so kind of you! I really appreciate you passing along all of this, Smiter! As for your mom, a thyroidectomy sounds like a rough thing to bounce back from! Levothyroxine / Synthroid and similar meds are something I have never given a try either. What I was doing instead was trying to get my body going again the natural way, and for more than 2 years that went terribly until the reta lol! That said, lately I have been wondering if it might really make a difference for my insomnia and the constant sleepiness lol! Thank you for the advice and the boost! Let’s both send those adipocnitwits packing! 🫶

What a neat line of work that is — best of luck with your weight loss journey! You’ve got this!

Ugh! Yeah, it's something I was born with — a congenital defect. You just have to work with whatever hand you're given.

On that note, she's undergone quite a few procedures throughout the years, and this particular one ranked among the milder ones. Since it's an autoimmune disease, the immune system goes after thyroid cells. As for levothyroxine being a lifelong thing, plenty of people in this community intend to remain on GLp's indefinitely, even once they hit their goal weight.

That won't work...it's not strong enough..the little monsters would come crawling back... You need to drive them straight to hell... a complete overhaul of your lifestyle.

Welcome, friend! That loss is fantastic—congrats.

I'm in tech as well; this line of work is tough enough without having to shed pounds too lol.. reta FTW

Why is it that every woman around here works in tech? I guess STEM has gotten the pink treatment as well now. For crying out loud, that's exactly the reason I walked away from tech and switched to teaching... fine, if that's how it's going to be. You claim what's ours, so we'll take what's yours.

STEM? We ladies have been steering it from the start! It's the fellas on the periphery who muscled in 😉

Sure, and by that logic nursing would have been male-dominated from the start, with men as the standard, only opening up to women in recent times.

Oh, hold on—you're British, that slipped my mind... Over there, everything's flipped upside down. I got my masters at the university of london, then bolted right before the Olymics hit Stratford. No way am I putting up with the NHS, or calling nursing moms "lactating birthing parents" or whatever other ridiculous term they invented. So honestly, it wouldn't shock me if women were the ones running tech over there. The guys would be too occupied dodging arrests for what they post on social media.

Awww thanks! There's always something new to pull me in, and endless room to learn and grow! That matters a lot given my Adhd lol!

That's kind of you to say, Locken! Hope things are going great for you too! ♥️

This is amazing, honestly lol! In this field I don’t have a lot of girlfriends, and a few more would really be nice lol!

And congrats to you too on what you’ve achieved! 70lbs is a big deal! 💪

One thing I’m wondering about the Tirz + Reta — did you add them together afterward to keep from hitting a plateau? And Cargi has been on my mind… does it seem to work well for you?

Cheer up @Smiter — perhaps you're the one exception we'd hand a hall pass to so you can hop into the mischief with us lol! And honestly, growing up I was a total tom boy / raised on a farm. Digging around in the dirt / horseback riding / dirt bikes were my thing, though I also adored getting dressed up. Truthfully, even back then, befriending boys always came more naturally! Because whenever we disagreed / got angry, we'd settle it with a scrap and then everything was totally fine / done with lol 😆. That's usually not (clearly not the rule for every female, I'm aware. & please, nobody get their panties in a twist over this 😜) the way things play out with the same s*x as me… 🤔
